Cheaters will always exist and the mods route is not the one they are taking.
How about you just let us play how we want and you can pay 50 bucks for your skins? Doesn't hurt you, makes my gameplay more enjoyable and we all win. The longer people play, the more BPs they will sell anyway.
This is strictly a move for monetization. No benefits to the players
I've heard about the workaround, but I'm hesitant to use it.
Only mods I'd probably use at this point is Black Widow's Bikini, and Luna Snow's Bunny outfit because A: I'm a man of culture, and B: Both those modded outfits are very much on brand for both of them.
I think going forward, you'd want to be careful about what you mod. Obviously don't touch anything expressly intended to give you a competitive advantage. Definitely don't mod in anything that's intended to be for the battlepasses. Maybe also leave the Ryan Gosling/Black Panther mods alone too.
I'd also be careful about where you stream, post content with modded assets. Because there are some spiteful little ♥♥♥♥♥ out there......
- It's a free to play live service game, so they rely on selling content, they need to maintain server infractrucure, develop the game and to make profit. With mods you just can replace skins for free = rob them on their own ground.
- They don't want the game and Marvel IP to be percieved in unapropriate way. Totally undestandable for the ongoing live service game. This saves them from many issues: social, commercial, ethical, technical.
It's a great game as it is. I think a lot of people are glad to play it as intended.
There shouldn't be mods. Sorry, but it's cheating.
I'd be cool with mods on private servers if there were any but there aren't.
The mods I used weren't exactly "Cheating" they just made playing Marvel Rivals more humorous.
And just from reading a whole bunch of comments thus far... your comment is a blatant lie.
