Blaming teammates is a losers mentality.
I solo que'd to Grandmaster and I filled most of my games and never used voice chat.

Literally all you have to do is make an impact in your games and you will climb. Use your ults to counter enemy ults, ping flankers, watch your positioning.

If you're sitting there just being a heal bot and complaining your dps aren't getting any kills, you're not making an impact, you're just existing.

I get yelled at alot when playing a healer due to dps not taking cover when low on health. What can I do but try to improve.

i wish more people understood this concept
My noob just changed his char 7 times in a match. All of the roles. All failed. When I picked a healer - he immediately switched to DPS. Then in a middle of the match he switched to another healer and we had 3 healers.

Not only the guy didn't know that 1 healer is never enough, especially on defence - dude was confused what to play, while a team against us hasn't switched a character once.

The game just happened. I just reported him a moment ago, he immediately got a queue ban and now he is offline.
That can only mean that I am not the only one, who was aggravated by this guy.
Playing 5 vs 6 is not fun.

OP is right.

There was this one game in which I was a tank, and I was dying nonstop, I was receiving virtually no heals, we had a perfect 2-2-2 formation.

Did I call my healers incompetent and started ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥? No.

I realized the team needed more heals, picked Luna and focused on the other tank, he was able to push through and hold the objective we were stuck at, then we steamrolled the entire course and won that game.

I'm not going to blame or judge the other healers, I don't know if it's even their fault, I don't know if they are getting harassed by melee DPS the entire game, I don't know if other players are annoying them for heals taking attention from the tanks, all I know is that what I was doing wasn't working, so I changed my role, then we won.

This is all very common, I was explaining earlier today you don't really have to be a good player in terms of aim & reactions, if you're just a competent teamplayer you can quite easily rise through the ranks. I'm usually the last one to pick a character in ranked, to fill whatever is necessary, when I notice we have one very good player (like the spiderman dude in my last game) I switch to a character that can help him out (from penny to venom in this example) and we just snowball even harder.

This is a team game, but most losses are your fault, if you can't do anything for your team so you can secure wins, go play a solo game, like Starcraft 2, mobas and hero shooters aren't for you. You don't need to win every game to climb, you just need to win more.

if my dps arent getting any kills or more specifically arent doing much damage while im damage buffing and healing them while sleeping the enemies and fighting then its their fault not mine and i can blame them all i want

You were able to pick Luna with 2 healers already present. To heal a tank properly you need a nuke healer. 2 of the nuke healers in the game are Luna and Adam. Luna is the best nuke healer, because she can heal 2 tanks simultaneously with Ice Up.
Who were your 2 healers?

There are situations where you can actually blame your team, but they're usually ones where the people are purposely not doing what they're suppose to. A Healer that doesn't heal at all for instance, or a griefer...

But yeah, I never blame my team since they're all my friends and we've known each other a pretty decent amount of time to know we're reliable.

I've seen people switch to characters that they can actually play after being called out on not doing much and completely turning the game around.

It depends on who you're talking to: people that want to win or people that don't.

i went from bronze 3 to plat 3 in less than 20 hours. Thats with all my QMs included too. Sometimes when I play wolverine I have a low kill count but each kill is snatching the tank and dropping him which makes a huge impact. Its not always about kill counts. The COD players cant seem to shake that.

Don't remember, that was days ago.

But I've seen a good rocket soloheal more than 2~3 heal teams, jeff is also quite good, I've seen lokis keeping tanks up + negating all of the backline kills from assassins with his healing circle every time too, cloak & dagger require a tank to pay attention and not run away from her AoE. Luna may be the "best" for tanks, but she's far from the only choice. She's just easier to use if your tanks are mindlessly trying to get themselves killed.

Jeff is a very strong tunnel healer, when your tanks allow you to heal by not going behind walls and the opponent DPS isn't that high. As soon as there's pressure on Jeff or high enough damage output on the tank - he needs help.

Rocket can solo heal if you're playing against noobs, where nobody focuses him and anyone else for that matter. His heal is very weak, but It's AoE. Opponent focuses on a guy - that guy is dead. Oppoent spreads the damage evenly - Rocket will heal it easily.

Can I party with you? I'm a very good cloak and dagger, but all my dps's love getting shot all by themselves, and them dying means I die, so I'm hard stuck silver. Plz help me
I mean realistically OP is right. If you're doing ranked find 1 character in every role, a preferred role with 2 characters, and learn match ups, learn who to focus, learn how much damage you can take before you need to take cover, learn how to set up kills, get kills, or assist kills.

There ARE of course 100% thrown games by just bad teammates and I genuinely feel sorry for anyone still in bronze/silver because people are REALLY bad down there, but I promise going into S1 if you find a character or two you can carry with you will start winning more than losing.

More advice I could give is don't worry too much about stats, for example I'd much rather a DPS go 20/3 with 8k Damage then a 3/10 DPS with 20k Damage. Stats are important of course but winning team fights is ALWAYS the most important thing. You'd be absolutely shocked how often I'll have 30-40k healing in long Convoy/Convergences with like literally 300 damage on some healers, but we still win because I prioritized healing over damage (some healers can obviously do both).

Anyway, you can solo climb in this game.

Tbh there is always one flamer in a losing game or what seems to be a losing game. Or if they get the same player again, they just start to flame before we are even in the game. There is no reason to tilt or own teammate during a game. You can still do it after the game is over.
false dichotomy
