Why Are Spider Man Players So Toxic?

You kill them once and they take it personally and spend the entire rest of the game hard focusing you, solo ulting you and pestering you above everyone else no matter what you swap to or what role you play.
I see it all the time.

They remind me of Sombra players where only toxic people play the character and they thoroughly enjoy making other people have a bad time.

Saw it happen two matches in a row today.
Once in comp and once in QP.

In comp I was support, Rocket. He was pestering our backline over and over and over and I got tired of it so I went Hela and I killed him once.
He got angry over this and then started hard targeting me, ignoring everyone else to go after me above all. I died a couple times and swapped to a different character but he kept doing it. The ENTIRE match he did this. He solo ulted me THREE times. He obviously took me killing him merely one time extremely personally and set out to punish me for it.

In QP I was Hawkeye and I managed to kill him as he attempted to leave. Again, took it personally and swapped from pestering our supports to targeting only me, solo ulting me, and going after me above all else. I swapped to Squirrel Girl later and he kept doing it.

One of the reasons I left Overwatch was because of Sombra and her players and now I'm getting the experience all over again. Ultra mobile character who comes out of nowhere, combos and shreds you in an instant and if you don't have specific abilities you die. Sombra players do the same over there too, if you kill them one time they take it personally and start hard targeting you for the rest of the match in revenge, no matter who you swap to or what you do.

Why are they like this? I'm really not enjoying it

It's a PvP game. If you lack the emotional intelligence to not take it personal and whine about it, then maybe for find something else to play? PvP games are just not your cup of tea.

Never heard a Spiderman player saying a single word in this game except once when the guy said ''maybe I should switch'' so except if the Spiderman player is in the top 500 he might be toxic at that rank but most of the time Spiderman players are just a troll pick a joke that is not even funny cause they just throw the match period.

I main Scarlet Witch, I am Lord with her and someone said the other day that ''he dont know if he should like it or hate it but he did say that I was insane with her'' so most Spiderman that I've encounter cant even touch me in most situations and they get killed when they try to escape me or my team in general. I'm not the best Scarlet Witch but so far I didn't saw a better one than me in the matches I did.

If a Spider-Man starts targeting you, swap to Namor. If you've already got a Namor on the team, ask them in chat to focus Spidey because he keeps hard-diving you. Web-head is hard-countered by Namor so badly that it's honestly hilarious seeing him dive in and immediately flop over.

As a spiderman main, i think killing healers is literally priority to win games. Otherwise that one guy from our team playing hella will keep crying that everyone is useless. I also play strategist, i and see that every tank is keeps focusing me/other healers, and nobody talks about that. Thats just how the game should go, team should protect their heals

I actually never thought of swapping to Namor, good idea.
Though sometimes I have no choice but to stay as strategist, otherwise we'll probably lose just from that.

In that case, ping Spider-Man to your team and ask them to focus him in chat. Unless he's a godlike player, the dummy will be so focused on hunting you down that he's likely to get blindsided by a DPS.

mantis is solid at dealing with him. just throw your stun at the ground when he dives you and either run away or just dump ammo into his head. doesnt always work but sometimes it makes them nervous and they start to bail sooner or not target you as much. sometimes you just gotta scare them.

Cloak and Dagger wrecks Spider-man pretty easily. When he comes in, just Cloak and go invis/intangible (eat his ult, if he tries it)--then blind/vulnerability him and drain his health away with 95%+ accuracy. Drop a dagger storm, if needed. Rinse. Repeat.

Ultimately, if there's a Spider-man on the enemy team, and you're playing a strategist, you have to be ready for him. Watch your back.

A lot of Spider-man players watch Necros and try to emulate what he does on stream. Fortunately, most Spider-man players aren't any good and they're easy enough to counter.
