Valve can detect them well enough to ban thousands at a time so its possible. May not be easy but still possible.

What are you talking about?

Also the game isn't run or managed by Valve in anyway and Valve has nothing to do with the game. These forums that are hosted by Valve aren't even the main forums for the game, which is evident by the fact that the devs haven't paid attention to them since the Beta.

It's hard to "punish" smurfing unless you are tracking their IPs and device data. Which meh... Also people create accounts to practice other characters ect. I think it's stupid to do it and those people have fragile egos because they are worried about "hurting" their stats with learning a new character.

I have seen people accused of smurfing and I have been accused of it when I am just better than my opponent (this isn't a brag saying I am amazing or anything but bronze 3 people say the darndest things on a loss).

Which would cause problems for people who share computers with other people in their household that might also play the game. (just to add to that point)
