Predicting Namor be new banned dps in season 1

He is super slept on right now and is a strong pick into any comp and is one of the few heroes that hard counters all dive characters. With Hela and Hawkeye getting nerfs, Namor gonna shoot up to the top mock my words.

Namor is completely destroyed by Starlord, Iron man can still out DPS an entire team and Widow is actually decent vs him, outside of that he doesn't counter all divers, black panther can still get in, right click, double shift out to a medkit.

Also tanks like Venom/Hulk that can move with good mobility can just keep annoying him 24/7.

The problem with HAwkeye is he literally 2-3 shots Tanks so even Venom/Hulk can't do much vs him.

Vs Hela/Namor they do fine.

Squirrel Girl is actually a much better pick than Namor in most maps and is definitely slept upon.

Namor is a very common pick at high rank, so not really slept on at all.

Thor also is a great counter to Namor.

Well Hela is only get drop off damage because higher level players can hit long range shots, you won't notice a thing.

His points are so bad they don't deserve a counter argument. Obvious to any one who plays at higher ranks. It's like the people who keep believing Wolverine is bad. No point arguing with them. This thread also wasn't about arguing with randoms, just pointing out what is to come.

I play Namor. He is an okay counter to Spiderman / Black Panther / Psyloche divers. But his only real movement ability doubles as his survival ability, and you mostly have to prioritize survival, so his movement is pretty cheeks, and his turrets are good but the CD is long without Luna for the 3rd one. Let's say you're on a team without Luna and have both turrets down and nail a tank who gets healed up and doesn't die. Well now your turrets and right-click are both on CD and you are pretty useless. His ult is decent but sometimes gets f***ed over by level geometry and generally doesn't do much damage by itself.

If your healers are getting run down by divers, he is a decent counter-pick to ensure some DPS gets through even when a character like Spiderman is swinging all over the place. But I don't think he's OP by any means. If his turrets don't kill you and they go on CD, he is very, very meh, and he can't really dictate where fights take place since his movement is so bad.

Yesterday I went 50 and 2 with him (possibly the best I've ever done!). Granted, it was a Quickplay match.

I agree with all of this, especially the point about movement. He's similar to Warlock that way.

I wouldn't say he hard counters divers

With a good setup working with a competent team that extra chip damage is great against divers and helps but if the mobile tanks and melee characters get to you this is very bad, you have to be crafty

After checking some of the top players on the leaderboard dps namor is in most cases the highest dps potential a player typically has, same in my case per 10 minutes

Starlord is a good counter, I main Namor and he was broken last season.
