TL;DR:
Game uses psychological tricks to farm your attention, which often translates to spending money, similar to mobile games and coomer games.
ive had many close games, some games where my team gets 0 kills and some games the enemies get 0 kills (not bots)
I checked the enemy team's profiles and they were real people, somehow only 4 deaths on my team the whole match
There are no bots in ranked, but EOMM is there, notice how your team sometimes consists of the nicest and most competent players, while other times 1 or 2 people are actively throwing, while also going full tilt mode and yelling/typing insults?
And this is Diamond/GM rank.... it's devastating.
That's not the point, you never have a 100% conversion rate, but after feeling like you carried a game, you will still think "wow what a cool hero X is", it will push at least the brand image and you still will continue to participate in the EOMM cycle.
