Conceptualization: Widowmaker was conceived by Jeff Kaplan, one of the game’s lead designers, in the early stages of Overwatch’s development.
Design: Her design was further developed by Arnold Tsang and other Blizzard artists, who brought the character to life with detailed artwork and conceptual designs.
Release: The character was introduced at the launch of the 2016 first-person shooter game Overwatch.
Sequel: She also appeared in the sequel, Overwatch 2, which was released in 2022.
