and not team play
What if you had a great team and lost because statistically everyone loses once in a while? People lose. If you cannot handle it - for whatever reason - don't take the risk. Certainly don't ask the world to change for you.
Let me tell you something, son. There are numerous reasons that a team loses or wins. In the case of losing "bad team" is the common excuse I hear. The common observation I see however is lack of communication: calling out AND marking targets, announcing your plan etc.
Countless times, I am on a "losing" team and by simply taking charge by calling out, commanding, and leading by example we turn the tides and win. Countless times all seems lost but by reserving our big shots, we turn the tide, and defeat the second biggest cause of a loss: "defeatism." Many people just "give up" before they know it. Many teams I have been on just give up and stop trying their best choosing NOT to fight to the bitter end foregoing turning the tables.
I don't know your situation. Do you actively use a microphone to communicate? Are you a take charge type of person that can lead? Can you keep up morale meanwhile calling out targets and assigning members of your squad to take them out? If the answer to ANY of these things is "no" then you are PART of the problem.
When I take charge during these "ranked" battles, when no one is communicating and turn the tide of battle, I receive numerous communique from my squad blessing me with gratitude for calling out and communicating; I even manage to inspire a few to get on their microphones and step up along side.
When I lose, I accept my part in it as it IS a team effort regardless. When we win, I also accept my part of it. On a final note: if you do your job when others don't, and expect special treatment, it is obvious the reason your teams loses. Don't expect a cookie, son. Denny Crane.
I've seen bottom frag make the game winning clutch play about as often as I've seen the SVP actually help the team.
Kills only matter when they help complete objectives. Any kill that doesn't lead to your team gaining ground on the main objective is useless and you're just farming for unimportant numbers.
This game doesn't use your individual stats to decide anything anyway, so stop worrying about kills.
You still loss, at best it should maybe a little bit reduce how much ELO you lose, but you should still lose some...
I also fill that people will try to hog roles and characters with this who they find are easier to get SVP as well if they even do that though in an attempt to better assure that they have the best chances to get SVP from the other people on their teams.
Exactly supports almost NEVER get SVP or MVP.
Three second value players....makes sense.
I'd argue other wise to this. This will generally mostly only happen when you solo queue and can be completely avoided most times by not solo queuing but instead playing with friends. Ranked is suppose to be a more competitive format, pushing you to do everything you can and have at your disposal in order to succeed. This includes stop solo queuing and start finding friends ( or making new ones ) and start creating your own team with people you know you can rely on. Issues you have with your team when you solo queue is a self created problem, and one you're going to have to accept. You have the tools to help prevent it, and you choose not to use them.
In other words, bad teammates in that sense is a you problem when you solo queue, not the games or devs problem. You shouldn't get a reduction of points because of a problem you created by not using tools that are always available for you and not used them to better your chances to succeed.
