So watched the blog and its 7 divisions drop :)
So players from bronze3-gold2 will be put to bronze 3 :P
Gold 1 to bronze 2
Plat3 to bronze 1

Guess its not so bad as it was on start, when all ranks starting at bronze 3, but still having bronze3-plat3 players playing same matches at start :) will be funny guess

Btw I think I didnt see any other ranked game have such significant drop on reset, quite weird

Yeah I stopped at gold 2... I was just so burned out trying to get out of bronze and silver. That after I hit gold and realizing the season was almost over. I just gave up. Hopefully with the next season being 3 months. It's might be enough of a carrot on the stick to keep climbing.

Though the bronze grind is a hellscape that I was hoping I wouldn't have to see again. Just so many terrible players that legit feel like they are throwing, even though they are giving it their all lol.

That's insane, I thought I was done with comp FOR GOOD. I dont WANT to re-rank every season, I just want to play quickplay. But for the rewards I am now FORCED TO each season?
That sounds miserable.
So I am going to go from Diamond 3 to Silver 1? Jeez... I would understand maybe a 1 division loss, but SEVEN? May as well just reset everyone back to bronze, the amount of time it will take to re-rank.

No, youre not forced to. Competitive skins are entirely optional. You can play and be rewarded by reaching a treshold.

No, youre not forced to. Competitive skins are entirely optional. You can play and be rewarded by reaching a treshold.

Forced to for the optional skins, yes. There is no "option" to obtain the skins without forced competitive play.

It does get really frustrating. It is annoying to me because the teams are never balanced at all. It's either you roll the enemy or they roll you. There always seems to be a huge disparity in skill level between teams. I can count on one hand the amount of close matches I have had. Those were fun, even if I lost. I didn't mind because I know they just outplayed us, but when the enemy runs the cart to the end in like 4 mins and we couldn't even touch the initial point... That just sucks. It just feels like I wasted 7-8 mins of my time and to further insult me -30 to -40 points. Then keep queuing me up with people like that team against what feels like grandmaster level premades.

You can get to GM with a 44% win rate... climbing isnt hard in this game until then, its just time and games played.. quite frankly comp is the only good part of hero shooters.

Its 2 rank drops after S1. 7 rank drops is for S1 only

Ranks will be reset when the second half of Season 1 starts on February 21, 2025. Based on your standing at the end of the first half of Season 1, prepare for a drop of four divisions. For example, if you ended the first half of Season 1 at Diamond I, you'll start the second half at Platinum II.
