A message: Stop solo queueing, find a squad. It’s not worth it.
To anyone having a rough time winning games by yourself: It *might* be because you’re not that great, *maybe* need practice, *maybe* you’re still looking for your character, but mainly? It’s because you’re by yourself.

So many good players are limiting how much they can get done because you solo queued with 5 other people and 2 of them are actually in a group together. None of you are really speaking in voice chat (maybe one guy says one or two things), you’re all struggling to figure out what each and every one of your teammates plan is, and you can’t strategize because typing in spawn to tell your team half of what’s important is the only way you can get the word out, *and* stop the enemies final push. Just stop solo queuing. Find a group of friends, likeminded individuals, make a team, and *work together.*

When you find your squad, getting bullied in the backline wont happen as often, you won’t use your ult at a ♥♥♥♥ time and have it countered, you’ll *get your healing* that you need in that moment, and everything will come together perfectly. Take it from someone who for the most part plays solo. Once I had my squad, it was more wins than losses in one session, MVP nearly every match, and actual things getting done. So stop coin flipping if your team is “good” or not, and losing cause your team of strangers teamwork was bad.

GM Dps player here. I agree that it is really hard to carry games. And that makes sense, its a team game at the end of the day. But, you can still be the deciding factor in many games. Most people try hard to win, even if it might look like they don't at times, and you doing great will make the difference in most of these games. I climbed to GM as a duo with a support main. We had absolutely unwinnable games, but in most games we were able to make the difference.

Nah, I prefer solo queue. A queue with only solo players would be great but I also do not mind the challenge of facing pre-arranged teams.

Eh, solo queued to Diamond 1 as support.
Was it rough? Sure
Was it fun? Heck yeah! Get on the mic and make some call out, have some laughs

I’ve gotten on the mic before, and usually one person talking gets everyone else going, and even if it’s a loss the team comes together. Sadly least for me, it’s just as bad a coin flip if I get social teammates, or people who *really* don’t like being told what to do/what could be done.

What I’ve been really feeling out is that direct communication with at least 1 guy can make a huge difference. That’s why I try to at least say a few things to one or two teammates

Comms isn't telling your teammates who to play or how. Comms is telling people when the healer is getting flanked, or telling them you are about to ult.

In other words, stop worrying about other people and learn how to be a functional TEAMMATE

The problem is that 99% of people on the internet insist you join some random discord and babysit them emotionally in pointless voice calls.
As llong as this game doesn't have all of the systems from Dota 2 - solo queue is fine

I don't ever hop on comms and outright tell people how to play, but I do try and suggest team strategy cause if we all don't have a common team goal, then games get honestly chaotic. And of course my word isn't the only word that matters, I'm talking every teammate coming together and figuring things out for everyone.

And when I mean team strategy, I mean suggesting if we should all group up, split our team up slightly to avoid CC or certain ults, or trying to keep eyes out for flankers/focusing specific heroes.

Of course strats change based on whats going on, and I try to give my best callouts on things going on and ult status, but some players just *don't* like having a quick sitdown during the game intermissions to talk about just general strategy.

I spoke on voice once in random queue. Asked the tanks to please stay in my healing bubble/ults. Had some 12 year old tell me to "stfu" repeatedly. The 12 year old played DPS.

Yeah, absolutely not going to bother with that again. :D
