Also make sure you read through these threads on reddits people have done some very thorough testing already

They won't ever be transparent about the bots, as doing so would defeat half the purpose for their existing..
The other half of their purpose is to effectively serve as a bandaid solution to a fundamentally flawed matchmaking system..
Without them, the matchmaking experience would be very similar to that of overwatch 2.. where the majority of matches are excessively uneven
From my quick play history it seems like a single loss will trigger a 50% chance at bot match, and two losses in a row or more is a 100% chance of next match being a bot match.
I think the reddit thread said the enemy team is all bot AI, and you have 2 AI on your team, rest being other players who have lost as well and need to make a win to bump up the win ratio.
The difficulty of the bots seem to vary between 2 and 3 star AI mode, they aren't to bad really. Honestly with some of the people I get matched up with I'll take AI teammates.
This is quick play though, I haven't seen any in comp? Then again I don't play comp enough.
Today I had 3 losses in a row and then got 2 bot games in a row. Absolute amazing experience. I logged midgame when I got the second bot game.
I've never ran into bots once. It's also why a lot of player didn't think this was real at first cause....they never play against bots.
Fam people are saying it's not even a lose mechanic, people can go on multi-win streaks and the very next game is STILL a bot game. It's random filling at this point to keep those queue times into game between 0-4 seconds, typically if it queues longer than that, higher chance of being real players but i havent done enough research so grain of salt, i have saved a few match replays to see bots indeed populating quickplay, 100% obvious in how these bots move, they usually take a single path towards the control point or objective and hardly ever use their whole kit the way it was meant to be used. Starlord CPUs never do the clip reload while trying to kill players, he'll always do flips and use both after he is no longer fighting enemies, never active reloads to do more damage, it's just a button it sees that it can press every 6 seconds. Fr, find a bot/cpu starlord or even a Storm or Scarlet Witch and just WATCH how they move around and aim at things.
I abandon these games even if the game tells me "You might get a penalty!" for being forced to play against CPUs? so spend 5-12 minutes in game or get this 5 minute ban....yeah guess which i'm gonna pick? might as well enjoy a youtube video or some sht, phuck you too Rivals.
I'd be fine with this mechanic if it was just 1 bot per team or something filling, not an entire team of CPUs, that "comeback" game more feels like a jerkoffsess provided by netease.
And suprise, to have YOUR winning games, you need opponents that are weaker than you, otherwise you wouldn't be playing the game. It's a food chain.
