Ranked season too short

One month is just too short for a season. That's it. Given that you start at 0 points instead of playing some placement matches.

I hope they make it 2 or 3 months, that's a reasonable time. The game is nice and the rankup system is fair, but unless you play everyday and make it your main game, you're not reaching higher ranks even being good at it in only a single month.

Regular ranked season is 3 months-ish, I believe. Season 0 isnt indicative of a normal season from my understanding.

I think all the battlepasses are permanent, so even if you don't want to get it now you can get it down the road. You could Google it but I'm pretty sure that's what they said last.

Edit: I believe this season was also very short because it's sort of "Grand Opening" more than a real season. Season 1 will have 4 new heroes, possibly 6, plus 2 new maps, a new battlepass, and a whole bunch more.

I heard the battlepass coin resets, and that's fair! 1 month to collect some cosmetics? Alright.

The problem is with rank resets. 1 month is a very short time to reach higher ranks. The few high elo people I saw play the game like 12h a day, that's a bit insane...

How do you know the ranks reset? How do we know there won't be placement matches for Season 1?

People are making plenty of assumptions from a Season 0. Things may change or not, we won't know until we do.

That being said, I've barely played Rivals, and got to Plat 1. Maybe 60-70 matches since release (including QP). So 1 month isn't short if you're good enough.

season 0 is a tester warm up they literally told people its short for a reason
season 1 will be the 2-3 months like most other seasons in games

battle pass stays with you forever if you bought it, but if your playing regularly you should have no issues unlocking everything anyways

battle pass currency gets deleted each season to prevent ftp to hoard currency
paid battle pass currency stays with you

I hope they have placement matches for S1. I hope that they collected enough MMR data in order to implement it. Too many people are in the low ranks that don't belong there.

I know that whatever left over purple currency you have will auto spend on your pass and then the leftover will be deleted.

Being top 500 during Season 0 means literally nothing. Even Season 1 won't really mean too much as people are still learning the wild mechanics and best ways to win. We're like an A.I. hivemind right now sifting through all the possibilities until something optimal is discovered.

League of Legends is a prime example of how much the "top" players can change over a games lifetime. The people from Season 1/2 are basically forgotten now.
