Does anyone else feel like they wont make to grandmaster before season ends

I was super optimistic at first out of all my friends playing I manage to hit diamond 3 first started late to rank at lvl 30 because I wanted to know at least 2 or each character class going Into rank. But just got bumped from mid diamond 3 to plat 1 and if I lose my next match I'll go back to plat 2. With only 5 days left I think I'm leaving my goal for grandmaster on the sidelines. Maybe next season when I have more time (play comp from the beginning). Anyone else plan on throwing in the towel.

I got to Diamond 3 like 5 days ago and had hope, but I started to just get non stop bad/stupid players and tanked back to gold. I just decided to stop playing.

That rough bro but it also sucks because there so many bot matches in qp but I still want to play the game

Im in the same spot, got to D2 extremely easily and was doing actually amazing

im now back to P1 because i've had some of the most stupid teammates imaginable

these are just from the past three days (i kept record)
- Multiple who instalock BP but don't know how to play him
- A guy first timing spiderman (legit said so himself and i checked his profile after)
- Players playing ironman but don't aim (aoe shots only)
- Helas who play her for the hitscan but can't hit shots
- A guy who instalocks storm with 0.1 playtime against hela and hawkeye (i checked their profile)
- A couple of guys first timing hulk and captain america
- Luna who plays her for the ult and CC but never uses the CC nor can she heal with left click and hit shots
- Mantis who never heals or buffs others but will buff herself, run in and die

I'm willing to accept that sometimes i'll have a bad game and may not perform the best, I understand and am able to analyse myself during a match on how i can improve

But seriously, WTF are these teammates

if its going well i might hit gm next days hope so but i still think you rank up to fast exspecialy on low elo like form bron to gold way to easy to get up tho cause shield need to get out dont want to play with boosted peps

Best to queue with a stack, otherwise the game is just RNG. If you're doing well, you will eventually climb to GM3 and like everyone says, it's really just a gamble with teammates. There's way too many variation of players even in high ranks.

The ranks are inflated upto GM, so if you keep playing you'll probably get it.

Most my games were duo queue'd

Diamond players aren't good at the game, Its really bad how bad diamonds are.
Then again I have a 60% winrate so I might just be better lol

This ranked system is super wierd. I started out in comp and did well but I stopped cause the matchmaker acted funny. in almost every game you had 1-2 players that are way way more talented than the rest. Im not talking about ppl having a good game but ppl that is obviously meant for master+ in OW2 terms.

So I stopped comp and realized that QP is even worse with anything from GM to bronze all in one game. Add all the bots to that...

Nah, just a bad experience.

Its because people start in bronze, I dont think the game has any hidden MMR like good ranked games.
If it did, and you didn't start in bronze it wouldnt feel that way.

If it did, and you didn't start in bronze it wouldnt feel that way.

Thats what Ive been hoping but I wont play comp for a long time because of it. Ill try again in a few months and if its the same again I probably wont play it again.

I was hyped to play competitive and go all for TOP 500 (One Above All), but in rare occasions a lost comp match was a really good and well played game for both teams... so I got Gold for the Moon Knight skin and that is it!

TL;DR: at least here on the South American servers the competitive have a lot of trolls, so both teams tend to have trolls on their side and you just need to expect to do your part better than the other interested (non-trolling) player on the enemy team.

4 in 5 lost comp matches I played (and most of them ending as the team SVP) where lost not due to the other team being simply better than mine, but due to trolls, like 4~5 ppl instalocking DPS like it were a casual game...
Healers that decide not to heal you because you asked for heal after dying 5 times and only being healed by your own using your skills or picking up heals on the floor...
Ppl not helping protect the healers being dive every damn time...
Tanks that never protect their team but are always diving on the enemy team for kills... Healers that actually only heal themselves and play like DPS (usually Loki > Cloak and Dagger > Manthis) and at the end of the match has around 10k heals only (in a good comp match healers tend to heal 20k+ if really focusing on heals).
And also, but not least, duos that only help themselves and dont give a f*** for the other teammates.

there are bots in quickplay, so its probably bots in ranked

I gave up, for every game I win I lose one and I've just been hardstuck D3 for over a week now with no end in sight. I'm convinced it's rigged lol, like it's a repeating pattern that I can't ignore
