Game will die because of treating people like children...
Forced swear filter that not only blocks words but cuts out 90% of non swear words AND unable to turn it OFF, FORCED cross play in non ranked games with console players. This is forced control and censorship from net ease which is typical and makes it feel like were forced to play with children and speak like children.

I don't think many people genuinely care about this.

As a PC gamer in a competitive pvp game I care about being forced with console players in shooters and highly aim based games. They allow console players to literally turn off crossplay for ALL games, but PC gamers are FORCED to play with it on...

And when you write a whole sentence and maybe 1 word is a swear word or deemed BAD by the Chinese filter, it deleted the entire message on posting apart from the censored swear word lol...

Just not a good look is it for a PC game.

Nothing to do with it being a "Chinese" filter. Many games from all over the world on console and PC alike have filters. Many applications as well, not just games. Steam itself has a filter...

As for cross play I don't see an issue with it. I've seen console players :shit: on PC players, so it can't all be bad.

Haven't run into censored words yet and i type a lot. Then again, i may have been subconsciously adjusting to accomodate the overwatch censor.

Anyway, how does it work? Are you still able to send it and it just overwrites the specific word? Or does it just not allow you to send the message completely? Because if it's the latter, that would suck.

That's quite a jump from "Game will die because of this".

If you want people to take you seriously, then you might want to consider behaving like you are more than ten years old. Acting the way you are, you are in no position to say what is and isn't a good look for anything.
This is what im always said , games with no FREEDOM Speech will end up dying real soon exact the same side effect like Overwatch .

Slurs , bad words Are Not DEATH THREATS don't mixed them . But they even censored the " Gangbang " words like woaaaa..... they really treats and forced us to be children .

The Reports are definitely SHIELDS to protect the real Toxic , The Throwers and RAGEQUITTERS in game . meanwhile the Honest and Hard Working Players get banned .
What did you expect? CCP programming. Censorship is literally what it does.
You cannot swear nor talk about sensitive political topics.

If you thought western censorship is bad, then just play this communist made game.

The communist games even dont censored people .
And you just Prove me right in one thing that this game will end up the same fate like overwatch . thanks

Of course it will, the fact that disconnects and crashes are still happening regularly a month after release is telling. But they have released new skins instead...
If it were Blizzard that pulled that one off all hell would break loose.
having spent countless hours in many pvp games i can tell you its absolutely warranted to treat your playerbase like children. bc while many might be of 18+ or even 25+, they still behave like children.

An unfortunate truth about gaming.

People just want to sling slurs around and be jackasses unhindered, hence why people complain about something so inane.

I just find it sad in 2025, 18+ players, Adults, are not allowed to banter or freely speak and type words.

So I play Airsoft, I played yesterday in the UK and we constantly swear and sh talk each other having a laugh. I was hunting a guy in a compound close quarters and we both shot each other at the same time and both called each other the C word at the same time and laughed then fist bumped each other, Imagine if every time you swore IRL it bleeped you out or even deleted everything you just said, it's quite pathetic tbh.

Right so most online games if not ALL have a swear filter, I always see this as something for kids or those very sensitive adults... so why not let us adults who can handle hurty words turn if off? like it should be off by default and ask on first starting the game if you wish to turn it on... but to not allow adults to speak with adult words is quite the censorship...

BTW I was given a 7 day chat ban on Facebook for calling a random person a Sausage* let that sink in.

I'm 34 and I grew up in the age of gaming that was fun and hilarious, the old days of Xbox live and PSN and lobby chats, and then even PC gaming and barrens chat in WOW, were some of the most funny and memorable times. Don't like it, turn on the filter simple, just don't force everyone to follow ideology of extreme censorship and force it on.
