Have the Devs addressed a performance update to fix bad FPS?
This game runs like trash for the quality of the graphics. The fps are a lot lower than expected.

I haven't seen anything about trying to fix this from the developers. Have they said anything? Can we expect a performance update with season 1?

Out right unplayable since the chrismas update and it's bizzare how no one talks about it
Not that I've heard... The last thing I remember is in a blog post of them saying the number of complaints about preformance issues or even crashing is under 5% of the total player base, well within acceptable percentages. But they'll look to try things on occasions to see if they can decrease it further.

Because its not unplayable for most of us. Sorry you're having problems though.

Crashing is not the problem for me. I have never fully crashed, but after like 1 or 2 games my fps starts to drop dramatically to like single digits until its near unplayable.

I meant to put performance issues and/or crashing... Every game expect there to be a specific amount of people to have issues with the game, they know that will never change, so they just try to minimize it as much as possible and hope for the best usually. That's how most video game dev's do it.
Well I'm not even talking about crashes... I'm talking about how I need to drop all settings to minimum + enable DLSS/FSR just to maintain 144 fps+ on a cartoon game.

With a 7900XT and 9700k...

I can only imagine how unplayable this game is on a low/mid tier build ... for a cartoon game.

Have you taken a close look at the character models? They are extremely detailed in spite of the cel-shaded, comic book art style. They also have tons of unique animations per character.

That's just the character models. Squirrel Girls tail alone is more detailed than entire overwatch characters (don't ask my why I know this)

That's not even getting into the various graphical effects on screen, or the destructible environments and etc.

Anybody who doesn't understand why this game is demanding isn't paying attention and shouldn't be taken seriously.

If you have the rig it runs fine. Run the game at 1080p and try the higher settings. It can hold 144 frames pretty easy.
just enable frame generation and resolution upscaling if you have a weak computer. the game runs decent on my old laptop which is very much below the minimum req.
