Is it possible to permanantly disable voice and text chat?

I am not looking to turn off or mute chatting for myself. I specifically am trying to fully disable both voice and text chat from the game so that it can no longer be seen/heard. Most of the people who play this game don't use it, and 99% of the people who do use it are completely disrespectful.

If there isn't a solution to this, I will be uninstalling the game. The amount of toxicity in this community is not worth the time or effort put into playing the game.

There is. Go to audio and uncheck voicechat and then go to social and disable all the boxes near top.

Ranked is the main reason I asked this question. 99% of the time when someone uses voice/text chat in ranked, it is to yell and swear at their teammates or spam healing quick commands.

This game needs to prioritize it's voice and text chat monitoring. I sent dozens of reports in a week and half of playing and have gotten a grand total of two penalty confirmations. I'm not putting up with getting screamed at because some grown adults with entitlement issues is randomly queued on my team in a Bronze/Silver match

huh. i never run into hackers AND my team uses either text or voice chat almost every match, especially if I do. we use pings as well. in both ranked AND unranked.

are you in US servers?

I would think in settings just turn player voice/mic/chat volume all the way down. Isn't that in the online or audio settings?

ctrl+shift+c turns off match chat too, i dont think there is a setting for that

Welcome to online gaming. They don't need to prioritize ♥♥♥♥. Play league or CS. That's just how most gamers are. Be the difference. I have a 70% win rate from using voice chat proactively. Literally just call targets and be positive about the plays your team mates managed. Instead of yelling into the void about a problem that no competitive game had EVER fixed, be the difference.

Learn to accept that 10% of games are guaranteed losses because of your teammates swollen ego, and learn how to mute particularly bad apples.

The 1/10 games where everyone is on comms and had a positive attitude is worth tie 1/2 games where the only people that talk are whiners. You are also in pisslow if you're in bronze and silver. You're going to experience the dregs of gaming society. Get better and get out of silver and this problem massively improves because people have a higher vested interest in actually winning the game.

And don't even try to make the claim that players like that are the reason you can't get out of low elo.

Nah you shouldn't be able to play ranked with full comms off. That's insane.

To all the brainrot gamers who are unable to answer OP’s very simple question: just because y'all have a humiliation kink and get off on being called the worst slurs in the English language, it doesn’t mean that everybody else has to. Your complacent attitude towards childish behavior in games that are supposed to be for fun and entertainment is exactly what allows these environments to stay the way they are. But judging by these replies, y’all probably ARE the ones who do call other people slurs in multiplayer games lol.
