Top 500 should not be able to hide their combat history
We all know why they do, but let's get some transparency going.

ppl obsessively checking profiles, match histories and stats of ppl they play with or against is the bane of hero based games since ever. to be honest i think information like this should be always private, it should not even be a choice.

Yes, true. But, every single one is private. And we all know why.

I mean match videos. All match videos should be public all the time. I don't care about the profile or stats. Keep that secret if you want. I didn't mention that in my original post, so that's a mistake on my part.

Is it the same reason as to why your own profile is private?

Weak statement.

you can just study them on youtube most of the time, so does it really matter?

It’s not about seeing what they want to publish. It’s about seeing what they don’t publish.

My hypothesis is that they all use hardware cheats and hide their replays as a result.

Steam is not a competition. If you engage in a competition, there should be transparency.

its a delusion to think all players that are very high ranked use hardware cheats. the barrier of entry is quite high. you have to buy microcontrollers that run custom software and work for the game you want to cheat at. its not just a matter of buying some hardware and connecting it to your pc and then youre set. sure some percentage of players is gonna cheat always, but you also cant replace game sense needed to compete at those levels. its not all about aim or knowing where people are.

Then make things public if it's a "delusion" ... they make plenty of money to support the cost of the setup. There's no rational reason for the game playback to be private.

also the thing is that even if they cheated its just 500 people out of 300k playing atm. its so insignificant number.
