Drop Hacking in comp

So I played a couple game today im almost eternal and in two of my matches at the end everybody lagged out and the match doesnt appear in matches history and no points, im curious if this is a known issue, some guys in my last match said it was drop hacking

no idea what u talking about, what is a drop hack? lol never herd of this in the 30+ years of gaming.

If it's not in history, then it wasn't a loss for you and it wasn't a win for them, so that'd be a pretty ♥♥♥♥♥♥ hack. It's only utility would be to dodge matches with certain people

I had a weird situation like this as well.
Guy was on my team playing punisher, dude plays like a total bot. Someone on the other team kept getting dropped from the game. We basically win free.
Next game that punisher was on the other team, I picked punisher and wiped their team coming out of their spawn. I got dropped from the game, and they got an entire push free while i was getting back in. So my team lost the control we had and then they won free. Was the first time my game ever did that.

Yeah but it feels bad knowing its either a lost or the game doesnt count and at my mmr i pretty much face the same people and theres no way for me to report or know who to avoid on the other team since the game doesnt appear on my history

Never heard of it also thats why im asking but pretty much everybody lagged out at the same time so the game doesnt count

Yes drop hacks exist and may not be known by the same name. Idk how 30+ years of experienced people haven't encountered such a cheating mechanism though. I don't have so much years of experience but I have seen it happen in paladins, battlefield 5. Usually when there is a drop hacker they can pretty much cause other players to be forcefully disconnected whenever they feel fit. Sometimes it will be as simple as ending the match and disconnecting everyone including the hacker from game, and wipe all the records of the match. Thus it will not be recorded as win or lose and doesn't affect k/d. Usually done by people who cares too much about winning every game. Other kinds include simply disconnecting the players other than those on the team of cheater or even the entire lobby except him. It may even prevent the players from reconnecting again or forcefully disconnect again once reconnected. In such cases match records will remain.

Yes, this cheat has happened to me as well ... you're winning and all of a sudden the game starts to lagg and either ends or becomes unplayable

They have. It just seems like lagg and bad timing if you don't know what's going on.

How? Leaderboard players can do that to keep their elos if they're losing.

Same happened to me, I was carrying the team as spider-man harrassing the backline & my game turned into a power-point. Yet my other two discord teammates had zero connectivity issues & were playing on the same Game-server. Discord & all other features ran perfectly, I'm thinking there's a DDOS exploit running around.

Ya I've had this happen to me a few times and there is always ONE person not actually affected. Just look for that one person and report them.

I totally just had this happen in Marvel Rivals comp. Diamond 1 and the enemy had a magik main on the team. I voted for the ban purely for my distaste for playing against magik but my team noticed the person has it in their name. Ban happens and they type in the chat haters. Then everyone disconnects from the lobby. Kinda funny now that I type it but it’s disgusting people can do this.

Then you are a noob. Starcraft 2 at release the number one player for weeks was a drop hacker.
