Still no word on what they are going to do with Jeff.
I don't get how making certain characters weaker helps? It makes one team lose faster? Does Adam Warlock need to become a paperweight so that games can be tied up in 3 minutes if someone picks him?
Adam is the Strategist for DPS players that are forced to heal, him not having as fantastic of healing is par for the course on that front. That said, they big buffed his ultimate ability. Sure, allies under 300 HP will get less health on revive, but the tankier allies will actually be able to defend the team on respawn finally.
As for Magneto, all they did was increase his ultimate energy cost by a small amount. He has been pretty strong and can solo tank with ease. I'd say it's viable.
Matches have time limits though. If they don't like how often players hit overtime just remove that mechanic entirely and whichever team holds the capture point currently gets the point for it. Or in the case of the cart distance moved when timer ended gets locked in as final distance.
Set hard time limits and leave Rocket's mobility alone. Had someone raging at me earlier for picking him and it's only going to get worse.
So they make him even more of a DPS? if he's supposed to be the healer that people who don't like playing healers pick to con them into healing, why make the healing even worse? Then he's neither a Healer nor a DPS - and complete dog in both roles.
People were saying that Magneto was balanced before those nerfs I mentioned, and that they made him unplayable. He has a secure role and his kit is well-rounded for a tank, but it's not necessarily 'strong', it's just that he appeals to people with good game-sense.
I don't agree with what they are attempting to do. I can only guess this is the consequence of balancing a hero shooter without role queue, I'm neutral on either. You can't allow for triple support then nerf triple support and somehow expect that not to effect double support. So we'll have to see how S2 pans out.
As for Magneto, as a Magneto player, the damage buff he got outweighed the nerfs. Whoever you are listening to that says "Magneto is unplayable" should be in Bronze and never leave because they have no idea what they are remotely talking about. Magneto before the durability nerf was EXTREMELY tanky. He could hold the line for days against the enemy team. The nerfs he got to his durability were justified, but guess what? He is still the best solo tank in the game. If your team has a Mag, you can run 3 DPS no problem. You can run a dive Vanguard no problem. You can run a 3rd strategist no problem. Magneto is still very much capable of doing what Magneto does best, be the wall the enemy team struggles to topple. Do you even know the reason his ult got nerfed? It's because he is one of 2 or 3 characters that can instantly kill Luna and Cloak & Dagger in their ults. His ult serves no purpose outside of assassinating supports. If you waste it on anything else, you are trolling.
He (mag) allows for team composition but he himself doesn't offer much besides being the 'old reliable car' that was built to last. It hasn't got any luxury features or a suped up engine, but you can trust it to get you from A to B, so it always has a role. That's his strength. They took the old reliable car and snapped the windscreen wipers off for no reason. It's not a huge change, but it didnt make sense either.
As for Adam, sure the timing of his abilities is his trick... but there was no reason to make it take even longer to hit your soulbond. You definitely need it multiple times in a match, and the fewer of those you can hit, the less value there is to playing him at all. He's reduced to a click attack and an E ability for 99% of the game. It's so boring.
