WTF is happening to quick play?

Since 2 days i only have teams that are throwing quick plays like crazy. always 4 dps or people that are quitting after 1 minute and everyone just says "its quick play"? so nobody cares about winning anymore???

Since the Reward for Winning is the same as Losing...why Sweat my butt off like its Ranked? Its QP chill out.

it's not zero consequences. the stakes are even higher than ranked because rather than seeing some meaningless number go up or down you are placed in boring bot matches if you lose 2 in a row - so the stakes are your time is wasted and you don't get to play the game for however long those bot matches last

Doom does not simulate a 6v6, and Practice vs AI is just as bad as botted Quick Match games, which do not simulate a real 6v6 matchup. If you want to actually practice new characters, your best bet is to play in Quick Match.

I've never experienced a single bot game yet, my highest loss streak was 8 games in a row and each and every one of them had enemy team and allied team talking smack back and forth with plenty of profanity.

I've went on just as many games in a row winning streaks and played against teams that get trapped in spawn and still beef in chat.

Has there been a single video that shows any proof of actual bots? I'm genuinely curious as I don't believe I've seen it and I've had some crazy loss streaks and still have to play like crazy for that first win after.

That proof nothing. I play lots of Practice vs AI lately. Bots on hard difficulty can chain ultimates and even cooperate. Sometimes it is difficult to tell if they're bots.
And there were a few games I was wondering if they improved bots, by maybe training them using AI model. They have after all a huge database of hundreds of thousands of replays they have from matches. And AI is big nowdays. It is probably easier to train bots, than to program whole logic themselves, especially when on budget and having small team.

Later you can resell that model too, EOMM + Bots model for your new hero shooter. "It just works." 🤣

If you lose 16 games in a row you have lost to bots & lets just face it you are not good at the game. I dont believe anyone who says they dont get bot games, I sometimes get them after 1 loss & i'm checking through a tracker site. The bots even give you thumbs up after the matches lol

You can always check your Quick Match replays. If the enemy team is full of players with "restricted" access to their profile, they are bots. You will also see two players on your team with the same restricted access. This is different from a real player's "limited" access.

since i don't count pitty bot matches if im playing qp ( cause they are brain dead souless unrewarding wins ) i would say my losing streak is into the 50s+ no thanks to how toxic , sweaty , cheating , smurf infested qp is i just gave up and moved to ranked which yes is VERY STRESSFUL but at least i feel i have somewhat of a fighting chance

There is also a part of the playerbase who has deluded themselves into thinking they can trick the matchmaking in competitive into giving them easy wins by losing quickplay matches.

I find ranked almost as bad as quickplay. Insta lock 5 dps, people not knowing roles or basics of team comps. Not capping points. It's wild. How hard is it to understand that 2 healers is minimum requirements

It's not possible not to get bot games, they will be guaranteed after like 4 straight losses. If you check your tracker.gg profile you can see which matches are against bots.

I just dont want to play quick play because of the bots... Kind of defeats the purpose of playing.
