All top 500 players play in stacks
They are abusing having friends who play the game.
It simply matches you with players who might be less efficient of teammates.
Some matches are auto losses
Some matches are auto wins.
but around about 10% OF MATCHES you have a major impact if you play correctly.
Saying they're abusing having friends is rather funny. It's not even remotely hard to even make friends in this game, people are just lazy and stubborn.
It's a legit thing and its disappointing solo MMR stop being a thing.
"It couldn't be me, no... It's the other people, they're cheating" line comes to mind that Skinner says from the Simpsons.
This is more so true in ranked, a game mode that players are suppose to push themselves to succeed in matches. It's the entire point of having a more competitive format at all. Stop relying on solo queuing and letting the matchmaker and start making some actually friends is one of those pushes.
Premades are winning because they want to stop being losers and actually succeed and move up in the rank. They want to be smart and use the tools provided by the Dev's to do just that. Well, some do actually just want to play with friends too regardless of how well they actually play.
issue is no one respects party ranked points over solo.
So most games were forced to merge them
Solo ranked, even if they add a solo queue, sounds like a pretty miserable experience because you still let the matchmaker pick your teammates for you. You're going to be plagued with a bunch of random people, and have a 1/6th chance of getting a team that you can actually rely on. You see how many people get frustrated and whine on these boards about bad teammates when they're quite literally telling the matchmaker that they're OK ( albeit silently ) with whoever the matchmaker gets them.
I'd still argue that you put yourself in that situation solo queuing, and then you take it out on others because you're finding out those actions come with consequences and decide to take the lazy route and blame others for not being as lazy as you are instead of pushing yourself to be better as a whole.
I'd argue that the game should be actively encouraging people to make friends in this game. It's a social important part of games in general, exp ones that are team oriented like this game is. If anything, encourage people to go to forums and discord to ask to make friends, and add features like being allowed to stick with people you bump into and enjoy playing for future matches together would be a good start.
A Proper solo queue match is honestly a free for all game, where there are no teams. That would be the proper time and place to put a solo queue. I will definitely question though why they allow premades in Doom Match though. If it wasn't for their stupid achievements in this game ( and of course the worst one of all, Dr Stranges kill an enemy by portaling them into a death bit can't be done there ), I'd be asking them to stop allowing premades into Doom Match which has no damn teams lol.
Different skills? You can devolupe those skills in premades too. The only thing you do is that your purposely handicapping yourself, and potentially making the over all experience significantly more frustrating and miserable by putting yourself in a situation where you now have to be significantly better to pick up for other team members slack.
Have you by chance ever heard of this phrase by chance?
