And as a man who smurfs
I only do it to play other roles
But other people do it to learn new characters.
I think the worst offenders are people who party up with a multiple smurfs.
You can't learn hulk in QM for example.
But they would have to rework the ranked system as a whole because you can't have inflated rank points and a placement system.
It's scumbaggery no matter how you try to justify it.
I don't like smurfing but I hit diamond already so I don't feel as bad.
How is playing below your rank a good place to learn? Since tactics that works on low skill players will not work on higher skill players.
So this is just a made up excuse to stomp newbs.
regardless of rank
while in QM they don't
QM and ranked play out differently regardless of rank.
Not even true... All I get in Quick Play are cheater bullies who stomp you to pieces every game or the magical come back games then you get thrown a free win against bots.
I barely seen any difference in Quick Play to Plat games. They're both filled with cheaters. The only difference in QP to Ranked is that people will play 6 DPS and not care at all.
You can learn a character in training. Your pre-existing knowledge of how people play should transferable enough that you can apply that knowledge to any character and be decent enough after a few games. Overall tactics and positioning doesn't change You going to use the same tactics for all dive characters, or all tanks / dps and supports. You just make adjustments here or there based on their effective ranges which you can learn n training.
