Why is Thing such a bad tank
Zero survivability, when his health is gone he is dead, no shield, no extra health, no damage reduction. Low mobility when attacking, tricky steering while running and huge collision boxes.

All good he has is decent range high burst attack and ultimate that stuns for a short time.

Edit: He is supposedly a dive tank but that goes to poop when you need a player by your side to use his damage reduction ability.

He's a dive tank. You can't just 1v6 the enemy team, you have to disengage with your jump and get healed up.
He quite literally has damage reduction though

I know he is a dive tank but besides that E he's got nothing, you really need someone with you and it's hard to have anyone if the team is low brain which is usual in platinum.

He is only tank without any shield/barrier or health regen, so very team dependent. If you play him as solo tank, then invis woman feels like must have for extra skill to increase survival.

Her contribution is insignificant, I'd rather play with racc and have one more life.
He literally gets armor when he uses his heavy punch (50 armor) and his dash (200 armor), and he has damage reduction for himself AND his ally on his jump. 50 armor every 1s sounds like a decent amount of survivability to me.

he hits hard and can stun hes set
Here we go, again.

Well as a dive tank i feel like Hulk is much superior, much more mobility jumping at will, including verticality, the main mobility jump The Thing has is the embatlled leap to offer shielding to a teamate, jumping towards it, so teamate dependant for the jump. Hulk has self/team shielding, too. Thing stun and kb's are nice but that doesn't really makes for Hulk mobility smoothness overall. Thing feels a bit clunky, i think his charge direction should be more flexible and mouse controlled, and his defensive leap skill should also allow an offensive leap toward an enemy (applying some kind of debuff maybe or some kickback), that would allow more dive and back movement, as well as verticality to this hero.

By your definition the only tank in the game is like....Wolverine. Lol.

no damage reduction.

His E gives damage reduction to himself and allies, it's only for 3 seconds but it's 30% which is a lot. You can essentially save people from certain ultimates because of that.
Also if you jump to another tank you can both abosorb like the 30% of initial strong attacks you get hit by when pushing the enemy team.

his damage is pathetic, you can literally facetank his entire kit including ult all in one go with even 1 healer

I mean... If someone is being butt healed...and you are attacking the person being butthealed ... then what else did you expect?

Sounds like you are making some real bad plays and not positioning correctly at all.

I like it when people make it easy for me to block them, no wild guessing needs to be involved.
I feel like the Thing's kit was intentionally built to play around another tank.
That being said, I fell like The Thing and Venom tank pairing would make them extremely sticky and hard to get rid of once they've both committed to the dive.

Thing isn't a dive tank... He is a brawler. Like Thor. He is about catching people out of position and "clobbering" them. He isn't really meant to get in the back line. He is a frontline brawler. If you are pushing too deep you are done.
