Best Counter to Human Torch?
Hey, all. I just played the new season updates yesterday, and while I love it, I'm having a lot of trouble figuring out how to counter the new trend of Moon Knight/Namor/Human Torch. Peaky, long distance damage seems to be on the rise.

It feels like there's a lot of people running some combo of the three, and always with the fireman involved, so I'm trying to figure out if anyone has tips or strategies that can counter him. Not a specific hero, but basic gameplay tips. It seems rather difficult to counter a flyer who has the ability to turn the ground you're standing on and around into an inescapable AOE damage field, especially as a Strategist trying to keep everyone else alive.

Cover feels useless against all flyers because they can easily find a weak point in or ensure you're blocked from your own teammates as they're getting pummeled. Fight back with long range weapons (if you even have an option)? You'll never win, and likely lose. Your AOE heal zones are now a massive fire hazard and rendered useless.

Is there anything that I can do myself to snuff out the Torch, or do I need to rely on other roles to take him out? If the answer is "Learn Invisible Woman for the forcefield pull down and Torch team-up" then I suppose I can try, but again, looking for general tips that aren't hero specific.

I appreciate those who gave some genuine advice, and even character options, though I initially was against it.

Admittedly, Ifirst thought Torch's fire lines that connect to each other made a perimeter of AOE damage, but it seems that isn't the case. Still, I'll try my best to learn these characters you suggested and plan accordingly.

Torch doesn't feel very strong.

He is very exposed while placing his field combo and his lmb is a shotgun with slow projectile speed, useful only close and medium range where he vulnerable to most heros.

His ult doesn't break invis/luna/cloak.

Hela, Widow and Punisher annihilate him at long range.

He is feed for a good spiderman.

I think some people will make good use of him but it won't be me. if I'm picking a flying dps it'll be iron man

Black Widow can counter Human Torch very easily. The Dude moves slow and dosnet have that janky movment like Iron Man and Storm. Been Criting him non stop.

Echo what this guy said.

Punisher, Hela, and Adam Warlock are all neat counters to flying characters due to hitscan.

play loki or jeff, water your ally easly and spit water bal to kill human torch, their attacks and heal goes pretty far than the other healers. or summon a scarlet witch or an iron man to kill the human torch.
Idon't think the mechanics works that way to just extinguish him, but it would be cool, at least to prevent him from flying and get him down.
