Fatal Error makes Game unplayable after update
Since the new update a friend of mine is constantly getting the following error message while trying to load into the game:
Fatal error: [File:H:\workspace\S1_2_release\UnrealEngine\Engine\Source\Runtime\RenderCore\Private\RenderingThread.cpp] [Line: 1354] GameThread timed out waiting for RenderThread after 120.00 secs

Does anyone have any idea how to fix this? We have tried rebooting the system, updating drivers and even completely reinstalling the game without any of it working.

if you have a custom .ini file for performance or something, delete that, worked for me

How do you do that if you may explain?

Many people have this error since since game launch 3 months ago. Garbage game, and Devs don't care about, only shiny skins are important.

Don't bother sending crash dumps, they do nothing with them.
Even DLSS update is half-a$$ made.

I crashed with similar error half our ago. Played 1 hour and 23 minutes.

I had a similar error. I Don't know if it'll help because I was getting a slightly different error code but if you can get into the lobby to where you can edit the graphic settings in the game. Then try and turn off everything to do with Global Illumination and Reflections. And by off I mean set them to off. After I did that my crashing stopped. Update your graphics card also if you need to, just throwing out suggestions.

I had the exact same error as this. Fixed it by updating the Game Ready Driver on the NVIDIA app

You can look it up here:

C:\Users\user\AppData\Local\Marvel\Saved\Config\Windows

and then delete the configs or .ini files that you have there.

yeah dude stop being salty and actually try to help people. This isn't a solution or anything remotely helpful. dont comment stuff like this under errors, it confuses people actually trying to look for a solution to the problem.

Ive been having the same problem, but its only occured when a doc strange portal opens. it was completely fine before the update and now its crashing whenever one spawns. is anyone else experiencing this / does anyone have a solution?
