Does anyone else get this crash message?
After I updated the game, when I press play on Steam, the Marvel Rivals Launcher will pop up and give me a notice saying "A crash has occurred, potentially caused by corrupted package files. Attempting to repair..."

yes. it has been ever since the update that every 2nd time i open the game the launcher crashes repeating the exact same msg. every time steam verifies integrity of the files to confirm everything is exactly the way it should've been and then we go again. i have checked and this isn't a hard disk issue as the comments suggest on reddit and even have all my drivers updated. also the load times are slower post-update and i have no reason to suspect anything other than the update for all issues.

This started happening to me last night as well as soon as I updated the game. I'm glad to hear it's not only me. Smh the devs gotta stop breaking their games with every update. IMPORTANT: if you guys notice when you launch the game but before you compile the shaders there is a settings option where you can turn on/off dev mode there is a new option below where you can document any problems you have with the game. I strongly recommend spamming these to the devs so they know it's a problem and needs to be fixed ASAP

Yep, ever since the latest patch.

Can validate game files all day long, Steam will say everything is fine and then upon starting it'll do the exact same thing and then download some mystery files and crash. Netease has shown no interest in solving any of their outstanding crash issues.

Also having this issue. At least I don't crash or anything in game at all but it is a little annoying having to redownload/verify the files again every single time I want to launch the game.

I've been having the same issue when launching the game every 2nd time with this latest update, hope the devs can fix it because the game runs fine but having to validate the files every other launch seems unecessary

If you used mods at any time, this will happen. Remove any mods or ~mods folder

Yeah, I had the "mod" that skips intro videos (1 kb), it was triggering this error lol

i got it after i tried importing some cross hairs (more than 5). The importing didnt work. so i did it manually but i still get the crash message
