Bad changes for Iron Fist in the patch
He was much more fun before this update. Here are the major problems with the recent changes:

- He didn't do much damage before. It was acceptable, but not great. Now he does even less?

Before he was high risk, high reward. Now he's high risk, no reward. Securing kills is important. If he's not allowed to do that, he's not worth playing.

- Given the massive damage output of other characters in combination of decaying shields now, there's a forced obligation to engage with what you have instead of being strategic and more selective with your timings. The moment you boost your DECAYING shields, you have to use it, or you miss out and have to wait another 12 seconds. Why? If you miss your opportunity to use it, and engage anyways, you tickle them with your minimal damage, then die. Planning an attack before was superior without worrying about that 50 bit of non-decaying shield.

Solution / Proposal:

- 300 health by default. Ability to "heal" with 100 shield on top of that. The shield does NOT decay over time. 400 health and shield together, maxed out.
- Taking damage while blocking gets you up to 500 max (300 health + 200 shield total). Let that 100 extra shield decay only, but not the generative shield he gave himself. It gets removed by taking damage.
- Revert (undo) the damage reductions and the 1.7x stuff and all that unnecessary stuff. Keep it simple. Just let him do the same damage as before. Getting kills is kind of nice.
- Reduce some of the cool-downs:

Kun-Lun Kick - 12s to 8s
Harmony Recovery - 12s to FULL health and shield, or until CANCELLED by the user
Dragon's Defense - 15s to 12s

This will make him fun to play again, like before, but with a bit more sustain.

-----

If the developers really want to nerf something, focus on Storm, Magic (counters Iron Fist), Psylocke (counters Iron Fist), and all the support ults that stop everyone from playing the game. Also, supports should not be able to counter DPS with their own DPS abilities. They should slow them down, yes, but not beat them in a 1 on 1 duel.

you gotta bring the damg back aw ill settle for more cd if i get my damg back abut whole heartedly agree with everything else.
I legit hate Iron Fist in this patch. He feels awful to play into, just unkillable, no matter what you do.

But he also kills worse, so it seemingly made him feel incredibly cheap while actually making him less effective. It's a horrible change.
Iron Fist just feels like he is in a weird spot now. The damage nerf is definitely to make him feel less cheap to fight for most people, but was he not supposed to take and easily win 1v1s? I only just recently learned that Iron Fist gets a thirty percent damage resistance when he has enhanced punches.

Maybe he was always meant to be a brawler Hero that played with the team, I definitely benefited from playing like that from time to time before, but the damage and cooldowns before made him feel weak both as a frontliner and as a flanker. Mobility is always a strong tool and he can definitely switch his role up fairly fluidly, but the reality may just be that Iron Fist was never intended as a true dive character which just about everyone saw him and played him as.
I know this is old but idc. Iron Fist has percent damage now I guess which is good.
I don't see any reason nerfing Magik because i think she's counterrable with IF but definitely nerf psylocke and Luna Snow, JUST Luna Snow, not Adam, Jeff or any other support.

Iron Fist really isnt as fun to play now since the nerf, therefore, he needs a lot more skill to play as.

I think they nerfed him because he was supposed to be an actual 4 star hero but before the patch, he was very "overpowered" as bronze players say, so I guess he wasnt really 4 star but a 3 star difficulty hero so therefore with all the backlash and controversy, they decided to nerf him. And I think you forgot about Rivals also being a competitive game not just an fps game for fun like tf2, therefore they have to balance out the statistics of a character.

Sorry for my yapping, just giving opinions :]

ok
I played him for the first time 3 days ago and got a triple kill to cap the point.
His speed already is pain to deal with. High mobility+damage which can chase you into sky isn't exactly most fair combination. There's big difference between being dived by BP or Wolverine: they can't chase wallrunning or flying heroes, which is made up by higher damage.

He has the lowest DPS in the game, his mobility is ass as he cannot move and attack at the same time, and his only escape and gap closer, is also his only damage skill on a 12 second cooldown, Black Panther can easily chase wall climbing characters, he can also wall climb, and his dash is 15 meters in the direction you are looking, even up, as is Wolverine's kidnap easily able to hit aerial enemies.
