New patch causing more issues - i7-9700 RTX 2060 super - help please!
Hello,

I am not very tech savvy so hoping people are able to provide some more insight. I have an i7-9700 RTX 2060 super and 16GB RAM.

Everything seems to be worse after today's patch despite also updating my drivers with yesterday's update. Even with my settings on low, anti-aliasing turned off, and Lumen turned off, the game still takes forever to load into or freezes/lags for about 10-15 seconds sporadically. I've had these settings since the game launched since it doesn't seem to load very well.

NVIDIA is saying my game could be optimized to "ultra" so I'm not sure why I am being forced to play it on low and still having issues.

So I am not sure if my computer just really sucks, or if the game is just not optimized and is destroying my computer in the process?? I don't really play that many games that are very intensive, but those that I have, I have been able to play on medium-high graphics with no issues (e.g. Hogwart's Legacy, Gotham Knights).

Any help would be much appreciated as I do not know much about this stuff.

i have seen the game running poorly is somthing to do with powershell. i have been having performance issues after this new update too for seemingly no reason hopfullt the devs will see whats going on and fix it
As a fellow 2060 Super user using the newest Nvidia Driver, I have no issues.

I will say though that I am using a Ryzen 5 5600G.

Maybe this is an intel processor related thing?

Also some things to note:
I have the game on a mix of medium and High with Post Processing on Low. Also some games just perform worse on Low than they do on Medium or High; it's a phenomena I've seen across many games and have yet to work out why. (some have argued you're putting more load on the processor at Low than the GPU and creating a bottleneck, but that doesn't explain instances where processor usage is relatively low)

Also I have an exception in Windows 11 Control Flow Guard for the Shipping exe. If you haven't already done that, I would start there. It's what solved my stuttering back in December. (if you need a guide you can use the discussions search bar and look for "fixes megathread" and you'll find my old topic with a guide in it, amongst many other tricks)
This is also occuring on Steam Deck, trust me it isn't a performance issue

If your using DLSS, you can https:// github.com / beeradmoore/ dlss-swapper (delete space) and upgrade the game to the newest DLSS version and try if it helps
