Post 1.5 Update stuttering

Despite the settings being the same and altering them every which way, approximately every 19 seconds there's a stutter/microfreeze. Not only this, but I realized looking feels oddly slower. I'm wondering what they might have changed in the game to make it act like this after they implemented the new changes.

*FIX*
The solution for me was to disable all avast shields before launching the game, all the stuttering and freezing disappeared.

Nothing to do with blocking mods, plus people are getting this with no antivirus software so not that either.

My stuttering was realllllly bad to the point of it being unplayable. I tried everything that I saw online and nothing worked but then I saw someones post about the antivirus and I tried that. I have Norton on my PC and first I tried making exceptions for the game etc. but that didnt work. Finally I said F it and fully uninstalled Norton and it worked! My game is running perfectly smooth now! Hopefully this helps others. Ill probably just re download Norton later when a patch comes out to fix this.

After trying it for the 3rd time today, archer9234 seems to be correct.

When i start the launcher, Avast would block the sys file as vulnerable. I activated the windows explorer view to also see system files and whenever the block message came, the file would vanish again.

So i started a game against the ai and keep an eye out on the interval. Every 20 seconds, the powershell.sys file would flicker in the folder and vanish again. That's exactly the time when the cpu would spike aswell.

So i uninstalled Avast completely and restarted my pc. I started the game and the file would stay. When i only disabled Avast, the block message would still show up.

In-game there were no more cpu spikes. So until we get clarification from the devs, ill keep avast off of my pc and just use defender

I belive I found a fix to the LAG personally I have a 3070, i9, 32gb ram; I enabled any sort of passthroughs to the launcher, game, and shipping in the file path for the game/ everything regarding my anti virus. THEN I found in my settings my graphics card was on hybrid (every game to date 200+ never an issue even CPU dependent games) but turning to discrete mode with no intel GPU SAVEEEEDDD MY GAMEEEEEEE SPEAD THIS KNOWLEDGE

Since the 1.5 update of Marvel Rivals the game is totally uplayable in steamdeck and makes the player quit. Its lag spike or micro freeze every 15-20 seconds and its hard to aim when its lagging. I hope the developer notice it . Version 0 is better

Just commenting to say I'm having the same issue since the update. Every 19-20 seconds my game stutters/lags for a brief moment. Tried disabling my AV like some suggested but that didn't fix it for me. Anyone having this issue, submit a report via the launcher (settings, technical issues) to make sure they're aware how many people this is impacting.
