Fornite uses bots, many games use bots and they do not add to the player count.
Bots can be identified in game because they are not real accounts. Tracker sites can tell if bots are in your game.
THIS IS A KNOWN ALT
They copy threads from Tighty Whitey for "some reason" and just change up the description while duplicating the topic, so they can avoid being hit with violating ToS.
bots are hosted by devs of marvel rivals so ofcourse they also make up for player count
They just haven't been implemented yet. Netease collects user data, and uses to refine bot ai..
If the purpose of the bots was purely to serve as a backup fail safe, why would they put effort into refining the ai?
It's pretty obvious they are trying to create "Artificial players"..
Basically they want to create an environment where people are playing against bots, and players can't tell the difference between player and bot..
Of course people would be upset if there were bots in comp.. but those bots can exist without issue as long as players are convinced they don't exist..
The ai is the only thing that's preventing artifical players from existing. Uses profiles and things like that can easily be faked, it's just as simple as linking an account to the ai, in order to create a player profile for it
Pretty sure the bots don't count towards player numbers. They don't even register as existing on the server.
The bots ARE there to feed "fake victory" though as you put it. Basically if you are losing games it makes you fight bots because, even if you and I dislike it and hate it, statistically research DOES show that winning even against bots triggers a dopamine hit that makes you want to play more/potentially spend more.
So It's been really hard trying to convince the devs to acknowledge that we don't want bots because their share holders are forcing them to use certain tactics. I doubt it's a choice the devs even have tbh.
Next time you have a total curb stomp in quickplay; after losing like 3 or more games in a row; go into match history and try and look at their profiles. You'll know because every single one is hidden/doesn't have one.
If you open the loading screen icons with tab when loading in as well, you'll see no one on the enemy team has no icons at all and have very basic sounding screen names that don't make much sense.
They have like, zero survival sense in game as well and do things like all arrive to the point at the same time after an exact amount of seconds.
Odds are you HAVE encountered bots unless in quickplay you very very rarely ever lose because you are in a very good competitive premade team or something.
They will at some point tell you that you are wrong, and that this is them just trying to hide that most "players" are bots, because they have all the facts and you don't.
This same topic already existed here for example with a different OP - but the name is "Fake player numbers and bots" and the same exact talking points. Once the thread seems to have enough detractors, they just start a new one to hide the real truth.
