Insane Stuttering

Just downloaded the new update and it is absolutely unplayable now, I'ts just stuttery mess.
Idk how this happened but it needs to be fixed immediately, because as it is right now you can't even play. I had to leave a game because I was stuttering so damn bad.
I guess adding a million new skins was more important to NetEase than having a functioning video game.

Same issue here. Worked flawlessly before the update. Seems they broke something with this update.

Maybe it's the stuff they did in the background to monitor for 3rd party apps, since they started doing that in this patch.

I feel like it has to be some sort of shader issue, I'm not really sure tho, I could see them having to do some stuff there for the new characters and screwing it up.

I also saw Steamdeck users having issues in other threads. Seems every OS is bonked :(

It's weird that it is happening across OS lines, hitting people with decent specs while others aren't having issues at all.

Yeah same here, admittedly I'm on pretty old hardware but the game ran at a solid 70fps before the update and now I average around 45 with constant dips to 2-10fps. Incredibly frustrating considering one of the first parts of the patch notes claims they improved performance.

I'm on PC with the game on an SSD and it's stuttering so bad I had to force close the game. I couldn't even exit spawn and get to the objective to defend it before the enemy team entered play. Rather take the penalty than have my team suffer because I couldn't even do anything.

Game ran fine last night, zero issues. This morning it's a broken mess with stuttering in the character selection screen.

stuttering isnt caused by ssd, but rather gpu memory I think.

Got the exact same problem, Im running the game on a Steam Deck (OLED) and it was running perfectly fine yesterday. Today every 10-15 seconds I get the same problem, huge lag spike and the screen freezes for a moment before correcting itself. Hopefully its fixed soon, its not TOTALLY unplayable but does make it a bit difficult especially as DPS or Support
