Intel Xess is just...Gone?

no more ssex for you my friends
if they don't fix this I'll be forced to quit the game. It was the only way to get decent fps for me. I'm really upset about this :(
dang got the same problem

I wish Epic would have thought twice about building UE5 entirely around specific type of Anti-Aliasing. We never had to worry about these kind of issues back in 2014-16, gaming was peak in those times. The developers of marvel rivals need to seriously look into this because I feel like I'm being limited by the performance of the game engine itself. It's bad enough that people have to deal with constant ghosting And heavy staircasing, all because Epic wanted to be innovative in creating their new engine by cutting corners. I know my hardware isn't the best but I can't just go out and afford to buy to buy a whole new system. If I upgrade to A 4090, I'd have to basically upgrade the rest of my system to compensate for the bottlenecking. People shouldn't have to shell out new hardware just to compensate for poor engine design. UE3 was heavily reliant on FXAA and later TXAA while both of which introduced blur and ghosting, and while UE4 improve things with TAA, it still had similar issues. Now UE5 takes that a step further with a full reliance on Temporal Super Resolution (TSR) and other techniques that can be a double-edged sword. Again, if the developers of marvel rivals could look into this issue and somehow manage/incorporate other anti-aliasing methods that aren't locked behind specific hardware requirements, It would be much easier to maintain stable gameplay and allow the player base to breathe.

Yeah XeSS was the only thing that fixed my game crashing every 3-5 games randomly and now it’s gone and I’m crashing again…

I think it's because Xess went from 1.3 to 2 which is exclusive to Battlemage cards i.e., Intel GPU's like how DLSS is only available for Nvidia GPU's Speculating ofc idk why they would decouple Upscaling and FG and then not make it available for everyone like they already were but it might come back with future updates

Probably because that's what xess is designed for xD
Intel GPUs

And next you're gonna tell us AMD FSR is also just designed for AMD GPUs?
Can't tell if you're farming clown awards but you clearly deserve some.
Has anyone found a workaround to make it work again?

I found a workaround for this.
Open you game settings file located at
C:\Users\myuser\AppData\Local\Marvel\Saved\Config\Windows\GameUserSettings.ini
find the setting AntiAliasingSuperSamplingMode
set it to 4 (seems to be intel xess)
find SuperSamplingQuality
set it to 0 if you want native resolution
set it to 1 for ultra.
in my case, 1 doesnt loose quality, but gives lot more fps.
save the file, close it.
right click, select properties, check read only, accept.
that will prevent the game from changing settings again.

if you open the game settings from within the game, you wont see intel xess, but you will notice its using that because of quality difference

Tried but is not the same as xess, i can tell because i have a old record in the practice camp with xess. Also jeff in the menu creates a lot of artifacts when he moves, with xess this didn't happen.

I was using Xess in Performance mode, with this trick i tried option 4.

[EDIT] In game seems like Xess.

True Believers! Intel XeSS is back with the latest update! NetEase even mentioned fixing this issue in the patch notes.
