This Game is Breaking Your Computer
If you, like me, are experiencing full PC crashes when playing or loading this game, you are functionally playing Russian roulette.

The reason your PC is shorting like this is to avoid catastrophic damage being caused by a resource leak (most likely memory) and is a disastrous issue. During this shutdown the PC is not able to properly dump RAM, CPU is being exposed to a sudden drop in voltage and worst the GPU is essentially being unplugged quickly.

This can lead to your GPU becoming faulting and causing the screen to flicker, it can cause your entire system or just CPU to short leaving you with an expensive brick, or your windows installation can become corrupt and you lose all your personal files. These are just some of the consequences of your computer hard resetting.

The reasons for this vary and the most common I have found is:

UE5 incompatibilities with i9-13900k model CPUs- This is what I think my main issue is. I managed to fix it with a work around which is what allowed me to play the game up until now. Using Intel Extreme Tuning Utility i was able to change to Core ratios to something that prevented crashes. However as the game continues to be updated and the devs continue to ignore this issue the problem here remains.

Shader Cache Compilation causing crashing- As the industry moves towards shader caching methods this issue will become more prevelent. Where to start: paging file could be too small, Nvdia Control Panel could have the cache set to unlimited or disabled, or you could just be SOL.

Memory Leak- As previously mentioned its almost certain at this point that this game (and UE5 at large) has a resource issue. Unfortunately this issue can only be band aided, not fixed from our end. Up to the devs to fix this.

TLDR: If your computer has crashed and restarted, you should probably stop playing the game. Every single time it happens you run the risk of losing your gaming PC to devs who refuse to fix their game.

The game hasn't crashed for me but it's chugging. I'm running Ryzen 5 5600x, RX 580, and Windows 11. I'm running the game at 47 to 50 fps but it's chugging and it's unplayable.
So after the last two updates the game seems to be working for me now.

1. You're wrong.
2. Even if what you said was correct, you're talking about UE... not Rivals

So...

The game is a lot of fun. Such a shame that I've been hitting 0 frames at times and, as of yesterday, has been the worse I've ever seen it, like the game is full on unplayable for me now. I've tried every fix I can think of since the beginning but nothing has worked.

Its even worse that the devs are putting character balancing and skins as priority rather then fixing some of the core issues that need to be addressed like ASAP.

I have a 7800 XT and couldn't find a solution no matter where I looked. Reddit, Stream, and just nothing. My PC wouldn't stop crashing until after some trial and error on my own. Even on the lowest settings it would still crash. Just go to the game settings, turn off V-Sync, limit FPS to 125, and Medium Settings then work your way up if you want. The game still struggles with memory optimization and I almost guarantee this will work. I haven't had a crash since.

Wrong.

You just don't know how to set up a computer or maintain it. There's a reason they have high school level and college level computer courses for this.

But then again you learn from YouTube so you're the expert.

Most of these problems are from people who have computers who are overheating, bios not set up correctly, antivirus, incorrect drivers. Ect...

I'm able to run this game with 300 FPS on a 3070.

While.

My other virtual computer is set up to play Baldur's Gate 3.

https://github.com/jamesstringerparsec/Easy-GPU-PV

Some people might know this as two gamers one computer.

If I can be playing two games on my computer at once, with no issues on slower computer parts, how do you guys have issues?

Ryzen 3700x with stock Wraith cooler: https://www.amazon.ca/AMD-Ryzen-3700X-16-thread-processor/dp/B07SXMZLPK <- this is the exact link i used

on Windows 11 Home

The first step is bypassing: Windows 10 20H1+ Pro, Enterprise or Education OR Windows 11 Pro, Enterprise or Education. Windows 11 on host and VM is preferred due to better compatibility.

Hey smart one, how does one "set up a bios properly"?

I didn't know computers just overheated out of no where? Like wowwie smart one thinks PC's just overheat. The whole thing. Not a single component, the whole thing. Wow spontanious combustion is so cool.

Crazy how drivers are def the issue *checks Reddit, Steam Forums, Google, PC Forums*. Oh sorry bud wrong again
