I was curious, so I played Loki again. The dopps always aim wherever you're aiming and shoot whenever you shoot. So to be a good Loki player, you should place your dopps in positions where they can multiply your fire, either on allies to heal or enemies to damage. And, yes, where the extra SHIFT healing fields will benefit your teammates.
