Winter Soldier, Punisher, Rocket?

Fliers probably. None of those characters have any easy way to deal with them. It is a strong pairing though, don't expect a hard counter.
i've found Peni and her mines work just fine. also a good counter ult as your screaming around dropping mines giving them less and less space to move in, making them vulnerable.

Groot, for obvious reasons, wall em in, root them, etc.

basically anything that can keep em from shooting or exile them for a period is a solid counter. the trick is just landing em instead of panicking and spraying them hoping you stop him.
also it helps if the team spreads out a bit, dont pair up but stay within eyesight of eachother and help take em down.

Away from their line of firing.
Im almost lord on and rocket and am already on bucky, groot is the most annoying thing for both cuz it stops your momentum as bucky where you cant just pour damage into a target without being blocked.

Any shield vanguard will already mitigate their damage which is useful if you start taking hits and need some healing. Punisher in his turret will be a sitting duck to someone like Squirrel girl who can easily take potshots and dip for cover.
Although flanking will always be good if you can do it, just don't run straight at them if you do try and want to get close to them...

Rocket is a pain in the ass since if you aren't able to stun or restrict his movement, his ass is GONE and made worse with his smaller size; and not to mention he can still put in damage if he lands hits on you with his gun. Ideally a vangaurd or stun will work on a Rocket but unless you stun him he's gone. Getting rid of his gadgets is also important, especially if he's paired up with the other two given he can give infinite ammo.
At least assuming it's a half-decent Rocket since if they abuse their jetpack shift, then they aren't going to get far nor if they don't exploit their fast climbing on walls.

Unless you're against people who can't aim, a flier is going to be terrible against the three characters who'll relatively shred through them. Especially Rocket since he can dive onto say an Ironman and shred him up close.

1. Winter Soldier

Counter Strategy: Winter Soldier excels at mid-range combat with strong ranged attacks and some close-range melee.
Dodge and Close the Gap: He relies on his ranged attacks, so closing the distance quickly with a speedy character (e.g., Black Panther or Spider-Man) can give you an advantage.
Interrupt His Attack Combos: Be ready to interrupt his attacks with a stagger or knockdown to prevent him from chaining his moves.
Defensive Shields: Characters with defensive shields like Captain America can block and reflect his ranged shots back at him.

2. Punisher

Counter Strategy: Punisher is aggressive with a variety of guns and explosive attacks.
Keep Distance: Punisher thrives in close to medium range, so try to use ranged attacks or mobility to stay at a distance.
Crowd Control: Use stuns or debuffs to limit his mobility and prevent him from getting off a full barrage of shots.
Aggressive Offense: Punisher is quite vulnerable during his reload or recovery time, so punish him with quick, powerful attacks after he fires.

3. Rocket Raccoon

Counter Strategy: Rocket is unpredictable with explosive and area-of-effect attacks.
Close the Distance: Since Rocket relies on his gadgets and ranged explosions, getting up close with fast melee characters (e.g., Thor or Black Widow) can disrupt his attacks.
Avoid Clusters: Rocket often uses explosive AOE attacks, so keep your distance or use teleportation/dodging to avoid getting hit by his traps and bombs.
Interrupt His Gadgets: If the game allows it, targeting Rocket’s gadgets or interrupting his attack animation with a powerful stagger can throw him off balance.
These counters may vary depending on the specific game mechanics, but in general, staying mobile, interrupting key attacks, and exploiting weaknesses during recovery or reload times are solid strategies. Does this apply to the game you're playing?

Punisher is literally the counter to fliers most people use.

Punisher and Rocket, two most consistently successful anti-Iron Man characters, and you suggest to counter them with fliers? You do you, I guess.

Peni and mines, Groot and walls, Luna's freeze attack, anything that immobilizes works well on Bucky and Rocket. All three are also semi-useless against Magneto unless they have a posse with them. For Rocket, AoE or non-aiming attacks (Scarlet Witch, Squirrel Girl) also do wonders.
