if this game requires skills, then prove it by 1v1.
otherwise, stop yapping and accept the fact. its EOMM. not SBMM

What's EOMM/SBMM?

SBMM is "skill-based matchmaking", a catchall term for older algorithms that looked at certain statistical metrics to help determine ranking for matchmaking purposes. It did well enough for its day, but often ended up in uneven matches and poorly evaluated top-tier players who had more skills than the stats showed.

EOMM is "engagement-optimized matchmaking", a catchall term for the next generation of matchmaking algos that builds on SBMM and attempts to further quantify the non-statistical skill portion of a player's game in order to try and create more even, optimized matches -- and so far it's an improvement on the older algos, but it needs a pretty decent sample size to start working at its most effective (about 180-200 matches played in ranked).

love the cope instead of just git gud and play the game.
Added, if you need a little spank to be reminded of your plays I'm eternity and don't mind giving you the lesson.

Not that easy, everyone learns at a different pace and if they're using AI systems to determine matchmaking, you're likely to fall into a toxic session where you basically no longer want to play the game and therefore give up. It's kind of a catch22. Then going into practice, all the morons are hogging the spawn points so you really can't learn there either.

I don't know about you but I have like 2-5 hrs a day to play or do something else around the house, where as majority of players spend hundreds of hours a month playing this...

get gud as you say, is dismissive

No with EOMM you just have to make the Algo think a certain way

E.G if you lose more than 2 matches in a row, quit out and stop playing

that way the Algo thinks "Huh... if this guy loses too much, he stops "Engaging"

counter, if you go on a 10 loss streak and keep playing no matter what

the algo will think... "Huh... well this chump plays no matter what, we can use them to pad out forced loss lobbies"
1v1 proves nothing. This is a team game. The best 1v1 duelist could be worse in a team environment, and that's to say nothing of tanks and supports where winning duels with no teammates is just not an important factor at all.

I'm gonna have to stop you right there -- I sincerely don't care. Thanks.

I think this is correct. I did some testing.. if I won a match, I would quit wait 5 mins and re queue and then would also win the next match... where if I kept queueing it was nothing but losses

same, if ever i have more than 1 loss in a row i stop playing for minimum 2 hours, usually all night

next time i queue, WHAM... instant win, usually a steamroll

it may be anecdotal but its working for me, and i refuse to be used as a punching bag in forced loss lobbies

i would rather not have the steam rolls either, but i just treat them as a warm up match these days

Come 1 v 1 me in Street Fighter 6, Tekken 8, Granblue ya know actual 1 v 1 games.

Like other have said I play less & win more. Not about to be chasing wins like a crackhead when I lose.

...You know its a team game right? Even if you are a master "1v1er" that means jack in terms of anything.

Nope just went on a 13 win streak. You guys just refuse to accept your not as good as you think you are.

Is it the algorithm or are you just playing like absolute trash? Thats rhetorical btw. You ARE playing like absolute trash. This is a fact.

uhh, yeah, we're talking about loss streaks

of course if you're on a 13 win streak you will keep engaging thats a given, duh
