I just was 13-2, we scored 3 points going first in GM2 and my team is flaming me as they’re all like 10-6 and such. The enemy team complimented me after the match because I was Peni and blowing up their dps and healers constantly with surprise mine traps and off flanks.

My team said they were reporting me for throwing. We won. I held the overtime point forever when they all died.

This game. It’s so silly.

i just ignore people like that. there's a lot of nice people on the game that are fun to interact with.

I had one game where we stomped them in the first round and all I said was "Man, I rarely get heals like that, nice job" and some guy over the mic responds with "Man, shut the F up". I was shocked I got such a response, asked him what his problem was. He keeps spamming "Shut the F up" over mic over and over. I of course respond in kind, I fully admit to slinging some colorful commentary back. Whole team starts yelling at each other over mic. We lose the next two rounds. Never seen a team crumble over a win like that before. Toxic as hell. I don't mind some smack talk, but that was next level.

I get another game where I'm doing well as Namor, got killed by the enemy Wolverine a couple times first round that lost. He starts saying I suck and that I'm on stream being stomped by him. I go off next two rounds, going 35-4 with 20k dmg and some really good ults and he starts accusing me of cheating and that him and his stream is gonna report me.

Goofy community.

Just ignore them. Literally every hero is played at the highest levels. People are just projecting how much they suck with a character and how they feel it isn't viable unto you. As long as you know how to play your character, you have nothing to worry about.

only medals for best in game, mpv and kill shots matter anything else can be whatever, for example good healer won't have much to heal when his dps is oneshotting everyone, so his heals will be low etc.

I did turn off chat for awhile, but then I just uninstalled it from my console last night. I got a lot better over the past month and hit GM1 solo queuing and often being really impactful, but it’s not worth either using chat helpfully and getting trash or avoiding it.

What’s funny is doing unexpected, impactful things like being behind a defending team and taking attention of 2-3 characters for minutes while my team easily pushed through all points was what would make someone often flame me. They just don’t get anything but clump and push or dive dps suicide/respawn even in GM1/2 apparently.

I go over to watch the #1 peni guy and he does the exact same stuff I do… cause I learned it from him!
