Quick questions.
Hello!

I am somewhat interested in playing Marvel Rivals, but I wanted to quickly ask 2 things:
1) Does the game have a rootkit/malware/kernel level anti-cheat?
and
2) Is the game pay-to-win, or do you have the gameplay altering things and characters unlocked by default?

Many thanks!

Dang, and the game was looking pretty good. Ah well. Thanks for the help!

Strange that steam doesn't list the malware, they usually list malware on games that have it.

...except it's not kernel level.

Legitimate question: Why on EARTH did you pick an answer without bothering to research it?

I said "pretty sure", since it was the consensus back when people were first getting upset about that that it did. Has that been proven false?

Yes, just look up NACE Anti-Cheat, it's what it uses.

Why does no one look things up? Very serious question. This is an important skill to have in the 21st century.

I mean even now knowing the exact name of the anti cheat and looking it up doesn't really tell me its level of system access. There is a lengthy document but I'm not well versed enough to translate it into something that could tell me what I would need to know to be frank.
The answer to your question is that even if the info on this is out there its not super accessible
