Lower the quality of ONLY map textures
My characters look too ugly when in the lowest setting, but any higher the game would slow down. I just wish you could somehow make the textures in the level be at it's lowest, whilst the character textures would be medium or more.

Are you running Intel Iris or something, I mean if you have a 6GB GPU you can run Med textures with no penalty.
