Launcher Not Appearing

The launcher that you'd usually click "Launch" after starting it up from Steam isn't appearing anymore. How do I get that back?

It looks like they pushed some sort of small installer. I let it sit and it finally finished and came up. My client crashed and I couldn't restart it, as you described above. Task Manager showed windows installing something. Once I was able to log in, I could see new things for sale in the store. I figured it was related to that.
