Here’s the thing—your friends like Marvel Rivals, yeah, but your friendship isn’t based on that one game. You don’t have to keep suffering through it just to make them happy. And honestly? If you’re miserable playing, that’s not really fair to you.
I think you should just be honest with them. You don’t have to make it a big deal—just say something like, “Hey, I love hanging out with you guys, but I’m just not having fun with this game anymore. I think I’m gonna step away from it.” If they’re good friends, they’ll understand.
Maybe there’s another game you’d all enjoy, or maybe you can just chill in voice chat while they play. Or find something else to do together. You don’t have to keep playing something you hate just to stay connected. And you definitely shouldn’t feel guilty for not wanting to.
At the end of the day, your happiness matters too. And if these are real friends, they’ll get that.
