Stuck in Silver and I don't know why. Solved
Man whats with the matchmaking? I played 115 matches in competitive with and won 48 of them and all I am aiming for is gold. I can play all the roles pretty well, not amazing but good enough to score mvp and yet I am just getting curved stomped or my team wins with ease. I just think its weird I am in the same bracket as people who are just starting game with some season 0 vet thrown in. Regardless of individual skill I just feel broken at this point.

My stats in competitive
Highest rank Silver I
Time played: 20.6
Matches played: 115
Wins:48
KO's: 1,459
Assists: 420
Best KO streak: 15

Am I close to gold or what?
I clawed my way to gold III with Captain America, yay.

If you want some help getting out of silver or gold you should probably play more "carry" heroes instead of solely filling. Most DPS can do that but you probably don't want to be the 4th or 5th dps instalock in the game, right? Heroes like Magneto or Luna Snow have way less impact if your Duelists can't hit the broad side of a barn. Tanks and Supports like Dr Strange, Thor, Mantis, and Loki are far more self-sufficient with the damage to take on fights by themselves. That's way more important than actually playing as a (coordinated) team in lower ranks, so try heroes like that if you need to fill.
There is a problem with smurfs at the moment, at least with me, so it's possible you're just being screwed over. Maybe play at a more populated time period for your server so the chances of running into smurfs are lower.

thanks boo.
I played Hulk to reach Platinum. Apparently lower rank players don't co-ordinate well enough to fight Hulk. You can basically jump in back line kill the healers then get out. Enemy team will start fighting among themselves because they are not getting heals and when healers die a lot they just rage quit.
Learning a dive character with big health is better in every situation.

I'm assuming you are solo queuing. The lower ranks are the hardest to get out of, because most of players don't like playing as a team. Once I got out of silver, I went to diamond supa fast. Try playing during off times, like 12pm on a monday, if you can.
The biggest problem for Silver players is a lack of good team composition. Look up guides on the subroles and team-ups and start suggesting team-ups pre-match.

Choose a role, 2-3 heroes from that role and 1 from each other role in case you need to flex. Get good on your main role heroes. Congrats, you reached GM
STATUS UPDATE: I just lost my 9th match in a row despite playing three different roles with three different heroes. I am now demoted from Silver 1 to Silver 3.

Play 1 hero on one role, why are you flexing that much?
Something I'd probably look at is what maps you're losing on, or what aspect of the match is going badly. For example, last night I had a few bad games, but in each of those cases we actually defended pretty well, it was just that we didn't do well on attack. This gives us something to narrow in on in terms of what's happening (in this case it was likely that our team comp wasn't well-suited to attacking).

Also I agree that there are certain characters that people don't deal with well in Silver. I think one character people struggle against seems to be Punisher. Iron Man might be another one.

Man in a team base game there is little I feel like I can do to make a difference in my team's success. Statistically if I play like ass I should be winning more but its just been bad across the board. Bro is gold III that hard to reach?

Honestly bro, post your profile so we can check your matches/history and see what's wrong.
