If not role queue, how about we implement a max 3 per role system?

If there's already 3 dps, you shouldn't be able to lock another DPS.

There is no legitimate composition that actually has a chance of winning games that has more than three anything. It's purely done for either trolling or just throwing games because Mr. special snowflake has to get to play what he wants all the time and the team can go **** itself.

This would do a lot to help deal with the tank chicken that is plaguing the game, and it really shouldn't have ever been allowed (if you are playing a 4th or more DPS, you are throwing anyway, and that's already not allowed).

It would also help avoid selfish players from forcing other people out of roles they want to play and have already locked down.

Nah, it'd just be a rule of the game going forward. Kind of like how you can't have three goalies in Soccer.

People that want specific set ups are going to have to learn to make some new friends to play with in order those set ups they desire to play with I suppose, since that will give them what they need too.

I, and many others are not willing to negotiate if we’re not allowed to mix things up to help keep things fresh, fun and exciting long term. Doing the same ♥♥♥♥ over and over gets boring extremely quickly. Too repetitive!

I used to complain about this when the game came out because, as a tank main, my team comps would almost always be 1-4-1 if not 1-5-0. But the higher you climb in ranked, the higher chance you get of people who can play more than one role/are willing to fill. Nowadays I normally get 1-3-2 comps (people are still afraid to play tank).

Basically, I'm saying that it eventually works itself out and you start to play with people who have a modicum of common sense. Usually. There will always be oddballs.

However;;;;;;; even if a role limit were ever added, I think QP should be left alone. There should always be that bastion where people are allowed to get just silly for the sake of being silly in unranked.

I mean, max 3 players leaves a lot of options. All of the halfway viable non 2-2-2 comps don't have 4 of any role. That's 1-3-2, 1-2-3, and 2-1-3. All other comps are pretty terrible and almost always lose.

That's not what QP is actually like, though. I wouldn't care about running 0-5-1 comps if that's what I played into, but it's not. People mostly run real comps and play hard, so if you have an idiot comp you can't compete and the match is terrible.

One of the set ups we’re testing is 4 vanguard, me on rocket and the last can freely pick what is needed to see how effective we can make it against current meta’s so it wouldn’t work for me.

Forcing things like this has been detrimental too for other games too, and I’d rather not see it happen here too.

What's weird about this game, compared to the last shooter I played, which was fortnite, no one on here sends friend requests.
Start doing that, send a friend request to the insta lock supports with lords and see if you can form parties that way. But of course this game so toxic and whiny, no one will do that.

I'm cool with that. It'll still keep DPS 4 and 5 from picking DPS.

The problems with the current system are twofold. First, it doesn't matter how fast I click. I can pick the very first DPS selected, but when 4-6 people select DPS I'll still have to get off and play another role. Picking DPS isn't about having a fast SSD, it's about being a selfish ♥♥♥♥ and being willing to throw before you change roles.

Second, it doesn't matter if I pick something helpful if my teammates are all idiots. I'm usually the 1 in the 0-5-1. That's not fair to me at all. Throwing is not allowed, and if we have 3 dps already, picking a fourth is throwing. It shouldn't be permitted.

I have never, ever seen 4 or 5 dps in comp. I feel like you're vastly over exaggerating this. I've seen it in quick play, but who cares then.
Just start playing well, and asking on your team if any one wants to party up. Normalize that and your life will improve.
