Extreme CPU and Memory usage spikes after update

100% CPU and Memory usage when entering the lobby after todays update. PC freeze completely after a short while and i can only turn it of by holding power button for 5 seconds.

yeah it was fine enough to play before the patch but now i have the same thing pc crashes and need to hold power button to get it to work

Definitely had a few instances of freezing today, more than yesterday for sure. Figured it was just because I haven't turned off my pc in a couple days.

yeah i have liquid cooling, my pc isnt overheating at all im not sure whats going on

The game worked in 160fps before that. Zero crashes or freezing, worked perfectly on high settings

This entire PC port is a buggy, unoptimized mess. Some players have extremely long load times for no reason even though the game runs fine. Character models don't load properly leading to invisible enemies and allies. Crashes, stutters, soft locks. This game needs some serious TLC for the PC version

yeah game was basically impossible to play, I turned on XMP for my ram and it helped alot but after maybe 3 games it would return to being unplayable randomly.

recently got more ram and it seems to have fixed the issue

Hi Guys! It just happened to me a few days ago. I reached out Marvel Rivals support to explain this and they told me "We have received your feedback and will promptly submit it to the relevant team for verification. If there is an abnormality, we will handle and fix it as soon as possible." As soon as they give me an answer I'll share with you guys ;)

Game got weird stuttering freezes after the update for like 2-3 secs and its literaly killing me in matches only happens with this game.

Seems to happen randomly, some times i'll play for hours on max settings 80-120+ fps no issues and other times it will start that way but after a match or two the performance will gradually get worse and worse as if it has some sort of memory leak. Generally started with one small stutter, then i get into a match and it turns into two stutters then middle of that same match it turns into constant stutters and the computer getting sluggish and hot.

There's definitely something wrong with this games optimization.

Lock to 60 FPS and the issue should disappear as if it never happened.
