On Marvel Rivals' launch, I had my name as 'IHateJohnByrne' due to my blatant displeasure of american comics artist John Byrne. John Byrne is the artist of Chris Claremont's Uncanny X-Men, Alpha Flight, Sensational She-Hulk, and Fantastic Four. He is also responsible for some significant Superman storylines -- namely, the Man of Steel run.

John Byrne has a lot of reasons as to why you could hate this person, but my reason is very simple; he is a notorious art and creative thief.

But enough about rambling of decades of Marvel and DC history -- I dislike John Byrne, and as a regular reader I felt the name was fitting for my play experience. But, sadly, the name was removed. I don't think a name specifically targeting an individual is bannable or subject to moderation, so I'd have to imagine that someone at Netease is willingly aware of the work of John Byrne enough to justify removing my name.

I'd like some details.

John Byrne is responsible for a lot of essential narrative and artistic choices that define comic books as you know now -- the Wolverine brown suit, Alpha Flight, She-Hulk etc -- and also responsible for a myriad of atrocious writing and editorial choices revolving around Superman.
