Overwatch was fundamentally a game of trying to break the stalemate. Almost nothing happens until someone presses their ultimate button and then one team breaks free. These "one shot hitscan" heroes can really abruptly break that stalemate much more reliably than conventional flankers (of which Marvel Rivals does not have many besides Black Panther maybe?).
I am currently at Gold 2 and already a lot of games feel like they just get kind of "stuck". Currently Jeff is turbo broken beyond belief (easily the strongest hero in the entire game), and Hawkeye can just take him out in 1 hit - instantly allowing their team to push.
