Hela and Hawkeye are hilariously busted
I see we learned nothing from Overwatch with braindead hitscan hero and one shots being unfun, cause good lord.

Hela is by far the single most broken character in this game. I mean 43 matches played of comp and she has a 100% PICKRATE in my games, not even an exaggeration. 2 tapping hero with a .5 second firerate hitscan, a free immortality escape from any situation, a snare, echo stickies, and a top 3 ult in the game.

Hawkeye is the same problem as any other ranged headshot based one shot hero... snooze fest character. One shots have never been fun, will never be fun, and do not have a place in a hero shooter like this. It's the same problem in overwatch. It doesn't need to exist. These are mistakes you should've learned from the top dog in the genre.

These two have become the default "oh we're losing time to go braindead meta" picks in every single one of my comp games.

I don't know. They are unfun, but they keep the game moving. I do agree that both Hela and Hawkeye are almost guaranteed competitive staples at the moment; they are MILES ahead of the alternatives (perhaps maybe Black Widow?).

Overwatch was fundamentally a game of trying to break the stalemate. Almost nothing happens until someone presses their ultimate button and then one team breaks free. These "one shot hitscan" heroes can really abruptly break that stalemate much more reliably than conventional flankers (of which Marvel Rivals does not have many besides Black Panther maybe?).

I am currently at Gold 2 and already a lot of games feel like they just get kind of "stuck". Currently Jeff is turbo broken beyond belief (easily the strongest hero in the entire game), and Hawkeye can just take him out in 1 hit - instantly allowing their team to push.
