Alright folks, we all know the jeff ult needs a nerf. These quad kills from just jumping off map clearly aint intended. So like intelligent folk, lets discuss possible changes for the ult

Yet I've only seen maybe one complaint about her ult (and it was about giving her 1000 HP).
She literally carries games in Ranked, especially at higher ranks. The better Hela player will always win obviously in the mirror.
That just proves my point. It's not how powerful Jeff's ult is, it's how anti-fun it is.

I suggested making the whirl pool smaller. There's little to no risk if you get three enemies, depending on who you grab. Most people walk off the edge as Jeff, but you only have to look down to basically spike people off a ledge. I've seen five man Jeff ults because like I said, just a sound cue does nothing when I'm being fisted by Iron Fist and Vemon is riding me around and then nom nom, over the edge. In my humble opinion I think radius is too big.
Therein lies the problem, your weakness. You're depending on the queue, rather then anticipating it. You know the enemy team has a Jeff. You know he hasn't ulted in the last two minutes. If your entire team gets hit by it, it's purely due to incompetence. You just have to spread out, and his ult is instantly useless. Your entire team could be deaf and you'd still avoid his ult simply by not clustering up.
You went and had to hit me with the skill issue. I understand, I am weak. Thank you sensei for showing me my own weakness.

I think big issue of ult is also basically it being one-shot, unlike all other ults in game. You get caught due to non-existent /too quiet audio cue, and you're dead because most efficient way to Jeff to use ult is pick 2-3 enemies and suicide afterwards by jumping. You can't stop him by normal means after someone gets caught either. (read: specific ability doesn't count as normal mean). If his audio cue was more noticeable, and there was actual delay on ground effect, instead it being instant and being invisible, I doubt people would have issue with it.

Jeff's Ultimate is his most powerful tool someone can say, but it can be played around.

Hela, not so much.

Then hear me out. Jeff's ult got nerfed. He's now the weakest hero in the game. You queue into a match, and someone instalocks Jeff, because they just like how cute he is. And this just happens repeatedly. Would that not also be antifun that you basically have a throw character in the game just because people want to play him? I find psylockes ult far more antifun due to it actually having no counter aside from lunar snow's ult.

don't bother. he'll just move the goalposts and report you when you call him out

That is a false dichotomy. No one is saying nerf him to the ground.

His audio cue is loud...just like every other hero. So that's a personal problem if you can't hear it. Change your audio settings or turn off the music in the background that is cranked 100%.

Nerfing his ult would nerf him into the ground, he brings nothing to a match except his ult.

People in this thread have literally called for him to be nerfed into the ground when it comes to his ultimate.

Example page 11, a user wants Jeff nerfed by having him lose 10% - 15% movement speed PER HERO he swallowed, which is up to 90% movement speed reduction, which is punishing players that do swallow an entire team.

But should he be able to swallow a whole team is the real question.

Jeff's bubbles are actually really useful. Not only can they heal multiple players (if they're close enough when the bubbles pop) but also grant movement speed, which is pretty useful.

Eh, they are, and I can see soooome argument for using Jeff just at the beginning then switching off after on some maps for the speed boost to the point to set up quickly, but after that, every other healer--even rocket--brings so much more to the table then him.

His ultimate does make him one of the most hated or at least annoying characters for a lot of players.
