Why is this game writing data on an SSD that it's not installed on?
How can I make it so it uses the HDD that it's installed on? My SSD is where my windows is installed and it has no space, so I installed it on the HDD. I haven't been able to play because when I try to go to a game, or tutorial or anything, it crashes when loading, and I think it's because it's downloading map data or something on my SSD that has no space and then the game crashes every time. When I check the SSD, it gets a marvel folder that's like 8gb. Then I check my SSD space and it only has a few MB of space lol Can anyone help me with this?

All Unreal Engine games use %LOCALAPPDATA% or Documents folder to store metadata, settings, logs and crash dumps.

Also, this game is seemingly creating full process memory crash dumps so each time you crash it eats few GBs of your main drive.

Is there a way to move that folder to another hard drive or will it just create a new one once I move it? Or a way to make it so it downloads somewhere else?

Yeah it's definitely the crashes that were filling up my space. Just saw the folder and it's almost 8gb. So what could be crashing my game every time I try to go into a game/tutorial/practice, or anything outside the main menu? :(

Many games will use APPDATA locations or Documents to save files or recordings. What Rivals is putting there I have no idea.

Probably yes but it is NOT recommended to move Appdata from system drive since it will have more severe implications.

Better to keep deleting the crash dumps till the devs realize that full mem dump in a released game is an insanely bad idea.

So this thread here:

might be able to answer that for you.

Thanks everyone. I verified the game's integrity, and now it doesn't crash. So now I don't get that pesky crash folder filling up my SSD.
