Is there a way to turn off the announcer (Galacta)?

Like stated in the title. I have turned down the "announcer" volume to 1 in the combat mix tab, but it doesn't do anything from what I can tell...

I wonder if they made her so annoying (after a while) so they can sell some announcer packs, LOL.
