Game make OBS Stutter/Frame Skip
When I run OBS and Marvel Rivals at the same time, OBS stutter and frame skips even when not recording or streaming. Any fix to this or anyone having the same issue?
I already ran OBS as administrator yet the issue still persists.

It will do that when the encoder is heavily overloaded so your GPU is just being taxed.

3060 here. I guess it should handle it just fine.

For what is an Unreal Engine 5 game, 3060 is practically a low-end, so it depends.

I have 5800x3d and 7900xt and game runs fine, but the game appears to make obs stutter even when just in the menu or even in the launch propt window.

100% no.
Game is working amazing on high settings. I can play with no problems at all.
However. when I launch OBS and start stream it will work fine in:
Menu, gallery, even practice range, at the moment when match start OBS frame rate drops to 5-6 or freeze. Om my site - all 100% prefect.
I tried to limit frame rate to 30 in OBS - same. Lower bitrate from 10k to 2k - same.

Any other game, including Space Marine 2 on high settings - is ok.

Having said that. This issue has nothing to do with my PC or settings on my end, including GPU

SOLUTION: When selecting input to OBS, be sure to select the latest version of Windows and not "Auto"

In properties of the primary video source (be it game, window or display) > "Capture Method" > Windows 10 (1903 and up)

only 12%-13% encode in menu but still stutters in OBS even without streaming

So I helped trouble shooting this for my buddy and we found out in was something in one of the scenes causing the stutter in OBS. When they put it in to a blank scene or even a different one it ran smoothly. So you could try putting it in a blank scene by itself and see if this could possible be a similar issue to what yall are experiencing.

Yeah that is why I am uninstalling this game, such a waste of time

Hello everyone, not sure if my comment is being visible on this section.
Thanks to the user ZenthoroseTTV, his solution helped me.

Make a new scene with NOTHING IN and put the game on it.
It will run smooth and fluid as it should, idk why, but it worked.
